Dynam1te , I think you're right, Neill, as usual tried to sell ahead of today's news...bureaucracy got the better of him on this occasion.... How many CEO's would do that??? Remarkable man, breath of fresh air in today's world, he deserves all our support and certainly has mine!

I think you find Neill tried to sell in advance of today's news. There is never going to be a perfect time for him to sell shares. There will always be moaners but he deserves to sell some. Neil from Twitter ....I have to pay in advance, I sold as soon as the registrar passed the shares to broker. Took a little longer than expected and I apologise for that. Certainly deserves some cash for his efforts. As per Dafad, Neill has only sold before good news so would not be surprised if we get another better RNS tomorrow.

Neill's Options well deserved IMO, and sale his business alone.

Trying to catch up - great news, Fest - I have failed to get much of an understanding of the BGIT financial plan. For my own notes, as below. Please augment or put me right if necessary. Don't want to mislead others.

Relaxed that whatever details will be positive for VRS, for Neill, and for all shareholders.

But “not a done deal by any stretch” (Neill). So details TBD and no point in speculating.

Can expect a future Placing, months away, price TBD, quantity of shares placed and amount raised TBD, but from it BGIT will acquire up to 15% of VRS plc. Plus IIs and PIs some further %age if choose to participate. (Numbers depend on the share price at the Placing date and the discount.)

Dilution of current holders of course. BGIT becomes a strategic investor in VRS.

Whatever funds raised are to establish a new Chinasub, wholly owned, plus “other purposes”. (In principle similar to fund raise to acquire 60% of Gnano.)

In Podcast Neill mentioned 2-Dtech and CGL acquisitions as comparison. New shares/placing involved, with some payments in shares, but they don’t seem directly comparable except for the result that those acqs became owned 85% by VRS, with sellers retaining 15%. (Possibly not those exact numbers - not the point.) Neill sees that 85%/15% as a benchmark.

Neill has every right to sell his options, he has a huge basic holding and works very hard. That is what they are there for, hope he spends it on something fun!

...and we all know that he has a tendency to part with a few when he knows that good news is on the way....not that today's news wasn't good enough!
