09/4/2019 22:51 | What a remarkable, giving man we have as our CEO. I am a long term shareholder in VRS, first investing in the copper foam days. I don't post a lot but I read every post. I knew Neill was supportive of charitable causes, often using his twitter page to provide links to charity web pages so people could donate if they so wished and on a number of occasions I have been happy to donate. My wife very sadly passed away at the beginning of this year after a very difficult and most courageous battle with cancer. The full story is for another place not here. I contacted Neill to see if he would be prepared to put a link to my daughter in laws charity web page on his twitter page, my daughter in law had spoken to my wife about doing the moonwalklondon2019 in aid of the breast cancer charity. I said I fully understood if he declined but I thought it was worth a try to try and generate more donations. His immediate reaction was to do more than I had asked, he has so very kindly decided to promote the event as much as he can, adding links to my daughter in laws web page and the event home page, but that wasn't enough, he has also said that all profits from the sale of the founders edition draw will be donated to the charity as well. I am humbled and very grateful for everything he has done. It would have been our 40th wedding anniversary this year, to all who wish to, and do donate I thank you very much. When you go through the journey that my wife did you realise there is still so much work to be done to find a cure for cancer. | ![]() billbyrne
09/4/2019 21:23 | SG great news re Miton out and new fund interest, thanks for all your time researching of late and posting here, really helps when making decisions going forward, just a few more pieces to fall into place, plus further confirmation to de-risk, then I'll be selling the rusty E-Type and adding more VRS, then hopefully a new Tesla sitting in the garage by Christmas as well as helping a few peeps out on the way, cheers. | ![]() aintree77

09/4/2019 17:14 | Mello2019 Awards....yes the Awards are open for nominations but not voting as that commences later in the month and 23000 votes were cast last year so these are Awards worth winning/receiving. Filming....We do not film every session as there are seven presentations, keynote speakers, panel sessions etc all happening in parallel....these are very full on days from 9am to 9pm.....Only about 30% gets filmed but anyone who buys a ticket will automatically receive links for every session that was filmed so they can watch them at leisure. . They are fabulous events for networking and getting to know new companies. | ![]() davidosh

09/4/2019 16:47 | Thanks for the heads up davidosh I highly recommend the mello conference to any private investors - only has good companies, amazing networking with other PI's and great presentations by top investors from fund managers to the likes of lord john lee. Very happy to see Neill making the effort to meet the more serious private investors and explain more about his business. I especially like the sound of the 1 hour session topic - should be a very interesting debate! | ![]() mikebrenner

09/4/2019 16:37 | What is a correct valuation, and who defines it? How far ahead does the market look?I can't see any answers since an share price is the vector addition of shareholders actions. Buys, sells and standardise.Ok rules of engagement, information provision. Etcetera. So our MD spending time on a philosophy quest.A bit like free will, determinism. | ![]() alchemy
09/4/2019 16:23 | But Debenhams was the easiest short on the market, since Carpetright.I've never opened a short on any share but I was sorely tempted to have a go at DEB. | ![]() festario

09/4/2019 16:12 | Hello folks, I am not a keen fan of Mike Ashley but this REALLY draws me.. "Debenhams has been one of the most shorted shares on the UK stock market for some time, and the hedge funds who bet against it have now recorded a maximum win, the shares cannot fall any further." I wish that partition someone started against shorting would gain some traction but... | ![]() laginaneil
09/4/2019 16:05 | That Mello2019 discussion will be very interesting to get feedback on especially if by May 17th VRS have received a substantive long term supply order from AECOM or any of its other potentially lucrative Collaborator companies. Hopefully someone from here can go & feedback. | ![]() bobsworth
