Talking about £100m Market Cap is deramping.
Versarien should be setting sights on £1000m Market Cap now
If everything comes to fruition it should be a FTSE 100 Company within 10 years

Suprised but typical of the MMs to lower the price by nearly 14%. Focusing on the raise and not the trading update.Trying to frighten a few into selling

Jeez

Such serious interest in just 1.5 hours.

For me it's nice to put to bed any near term further funds needed. With that pot yhey can now crack on and bring in a CTO and perhaps others.

As I said before 10 fold should amount to about 500k for the full range of kit needed.

Going on recent sale prices that £25 mill worth of graphene capability per year but obviously as it scales up they won't be selling at those prices or going full tilt from the off.

As for a daft comment. Quite simply the cupboard was bare for MMs at the end of October.

Last time around the city worked to knock the price back. This time around one tried hard but ran out of steam.

Well played I say. :-).

How quickly could VRS scale up to commercial production? What are the chances of VRS being a £100mn+ MC company with global recognition? Just looking in here for the first time, hopefully not too late.

Pleased to see star fund manager Gervais Williams of Miton Group fully participating in the rise.

I have become a new shareholder in the last few weeks and I am pleased that they are now better funded for the road ahead. It also raises the credibility of the company when dealing with large multi-nationals.

The CEO is the biggest shareholder his interests are aligned with others...unlike countless other AIM companies.

Great RNS. Looks like all those fleet of finger before 5.55pm on Friday got what they wanted. Excellent decision by the BoD. Sadly this did not include Shavian who was driving at the time.NR sounds particularly chuffed in this RNS. I note that he is 'delighted to announce' rather than the more conventional 'pleased to announce'. What next - 'positively wetting myself with excitement to announce' ?

Don't blame them for taking the 2.9, I hope that they buy 2 of those machines and ancillaries because they will probably need them!

A factor some don't think of (and they should) is the potential for new breakthroughs while running the various tests.

As I have often said on here and other BBs.

'The first hour is retail'

So I'd expect an early attempt by MMs to grab shares off weak hands by marking it up down and all around.

By 9.00-9.15 I expect trading to settle down as Institutions will have had their morning meetings and be ready to provide an underlying bid to the trading.

Having been out between 4.30 and 7.00 Friday I missed the excitement so will simply look to buy more Monday/Tuesday because my confidence has gone up 50% thanks to that RNS. My big concern previously had been the reticence of Versarien to provide updates on the 'hundreds of opportunities' they were working on. It's clear now that there was real activity going on behind the scenes and also that Neill Ricketts identified the right time to strike with his hitting the market with newsflow.

I expect £1 a share here within 12 months.

Very intrigued to see what he pulls out of his hat when he talks about 'Can Britain grow an Apple?' later this week

No KLF , it hasn't , thanks for the heads up it's another important document.

'James Baker, Graphene Business Director at the University of Manchester, said:

"This good practice guide has been developed by the NGI and NPL teams to allow the nascent graphene industry to perform accurate, reproducible and comparable measurements of commercially supplied graphene. This will address this important commercialisation barrier by providing users with a consistent approach to the structural characterisation of graphene whilst international measurement standards are being developed".

What VRS are doing is huge a serious graphene industrial tech revolution which will affect all our lives in one way or another. The share price may momentarily go down but does that matter in the grand scheme of things? I know of people who will be buying this stock very shortly

Given the rns trading update I would honestly expect the share price to rise. We on this board are but a few investors, some of whom have more shares than others. However there are greater influences than us lot.
