One such company Hexcel

I mentioned them many moons ago. No sign of graphene mentioned by them on their website.

However in a pdf

Nanomaterials are the subject of extensive research, and publicity
 This attracts extensive government, and other, funding Many claims are made for these materials
Little objective repeatable data is available Their potential has sometimes been over-inflated
Hexcel’s objectives for nanomaterial investigations are:
 To retain an open mind
 To seek clear repeatable data that shows a cost effective benefit from the nanomaterial
 To utilise these benefits in product development as fast as possible

Some materials work well
 These have become part of the formulators’ tool kit
 Some materials remain of unproven value because of lack of effect or because of cost compared with conventional materials
 The effects of nanomaterials, particularly in the undispersed state, on health need to be monitored
 Nanomaterials for composites need to lose their mystique
 The hype needs to cease

Look at page 8 where they thought graphene was up to 30 layers thick.

Hexcel in the document suggest if there is any benefit then they will get it into products as fast as possible.

So long ago I sent the various details to VRS suggesting VRS called them out.

HEXCEL IS A GLOBAL LEADER IN ADVANCED COMPOSITES TECHNOLOGY.
Our composite solutions make a wide range of applications stronger, lighter and tougher.

So Hexcel just had it put up on a banner in front of them in the US, and now they know what graphene is.

Deadwood - when you see some news it would pay to research the info behind the news. Don't take anything at face value. If you don't like it then I would recommend you don't put any money in to VRS. In my opinion the guy will be a great asset to the US business.

It has not been obvious and you had to do a lot of digging. Very large companies have been working with what they thought was graphene. If you tried to search their website or name linked to graphene then nothing would come up for the vast majority of them.

Companies like Lockheed Martin and Samsung did talk about it but many timers didn't. You had to find documents and files to see what they were doing, trialling this and registering patents.

The big name world thought graphene was false hype and that was based on being sold graphite with graphene on the label.

As mentioned the inflexion point was on the way when the graphite boys would be caught out and at some point could no longer call their graphite graphene.

EG.

If head are still using the same product in the tennis rackets then its not graphene and they have been kidding the market for some time. I did email Head pointing out this day would come and they would need to stop calling it graphene. The same goes for various others claiming they have graphene in a product.

But ignoring that, the big name and scientists have been crying out for the real deal to appear and at industrial scale capability.

The ears of various companies are still rising with false graphene claims. Many big companies have heard of VRS, many haven't. Those that haven't will catch on now.

Any significance in the podcast to the ranking given by Neill to Matt Walker's work in Japan, Korea and China? I thought China would have been first mentioned. Has Japan been mentioned in an RNS before now?

I see Baker could not bring himself to congratulate VRS as a British company being the first to pass the Graphene Council test !

EVERGREEN.........thank you for posting this information.

Last year I spent several days at this Berlin exhibition and also posted an extensive note on what I saw and heard.

VRS was little known and next door was First Graphene....no comment.......but I have to say that this is an industrial exhibition with little news and poorish attendance in the lecture theatre.

The same people are going and VRS will not be having a stand as they are short of someone to man the stand but will have a spot to push what has happened in today's announcement.

I just hope the VRS PR dept has told the exhibition organisers and they will do something as that could make the news............last year many people were very wary of the G word.

Hope this helps.........

Deadwood Research LLC initiates coverage on Versarien with a "STRONG SELL" rating.

According to Neil Ricketts, Versarien's CEO:

"Patrick is an experienced speciality materials professional with over 20 years' experience in the sector. He is a former US Marine Corps Officer who spent over 16 years in a variety of global business development and marketing roles at BASF. In 2015 and 2016, Patrick was part of the team transitioning specific product lines to Huntsman Corporation. Subsequently he established Global Marketing Empire Solutions, a disruptive technology consulting company and joined XG Sciences, a company focussed on graphene nano technology, as their global sales manager."

However, ABC news say:

"Abbott is accused of stealing $200,000 in an investment scheme, which took large chunks of cash from three people to allegedly fund a sandless sandbag business, as well as an electric vehicle business. Instead, investigators believe all the money went towards his "personal enrichment" and "personal expenses."

Additionally, the Harris County District Attorney's Office says he founded Global Marketing Empire Solutions, LLC, naming it just one word off from his former employer, Marketing Empire Solutions. The alleged victims got nothing in return."

When the senior management team of a company mix in circles that see them employ people like Patrick J Abbott you know that there's something very seriously wrong!

I bought my first tranche of these approx. 2 years ago at 17p, and somebody on this bb commented at the time that there would be days in the not too distant future when the share price would rise in a single day by the value of the shares at that time. And so it came to pass! Great days ahead. Huge appreciation to all the team at VRS.

Compelled to post this again given the context of this mornings news, the forthcoming presentations to be given at the Graphene Convention at Idtechex Berlin in April which will be attended by the main buyers for the German Automotive sector, will have far more significance by a number of orders of magnitude. Juxtapose this mornings news with the titles of the presentations and who is delivering the presentations. Could it get any better ???

Indeed harry, end user confidence is boosted by standards based upon quality assessments (such as this verified producer scheme) and likewise investor confidence too. Its investment money that will help build this new emerging 2D industry up, and knowing which companies are bona fide producers is very important. The usa are first out of the blocks here. How will the UK respond ? (effectively geic - there is no uk based graphene association). All playing out well for vrs to my mind. Aimo. Best ellis
