If new investors want to know how long I have been researching the graphite and graphene market here is a clue.

I couldn't remember the date I started but it seems it was in 2012.

I had been looking into Graphite and graphene a while back.

The trouble is with Graphene, while being an amazing material, commercial levels could be some years off yet.

STGR talk of being in a position to progress ahead of others, but I saw a moth-balled grpahite mines quote somewhere, so if the market becomes lucrative, those mines will surely come back online.

Big flakes are the more valuable type, but I've not looked enough yet, to fully understand the market.

Re graphene while it's a wonder material it's way off becoming mass produced.

The line that stalled my research was graphite mines.

The 'moth balled' graphite mines. If it becomes a craze, those mines exist somwhere and I don't know how many.

Hype short term will drive prices, but short term revenues and profits are the real concern.

So for now I side step them.

"...Chinese Vice Premier Liu He spoke via telephone with U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, Xinhua news agency reported Friday. The report, according to The South China Morning Post, said: "The two sides have further made concrete progress on the text of the trade agreement between the two sides."

The news comes after CNBC reported Thursday that Chinese negotiators suggest combining a state visit to the U.S. with the signing of a trade deal. Beijing wants a deal to be fully ironed out before President Xi Jinping meets with U.S. President Donald Trump.

"US-China trade negotiations will likely reach a temporary deal, transforming future negotiations into a framework to monitor China's compliance with trade and intellectual property policies," Alberto Gallo, head of macro strategies at Algebris Investments, wrote in a note. He added, however, that "binary events" like this "may not translate into tail risks...."

So we talk about Aecom, one of the most admired companies in the world.

So when Aecom launch a graphene related product you can be sure it's going to get some serious 'air time'.

Then graphene hits the desk of more investors than it has done in the last 15 years combined, all in one hit.

I am very confident there is going to be an advanced materials industrial revolution. The fixes and gains such materials provide is previously beyond what was thought possible.

Craig Sainsbury of Goldman Sachs realised that and did a lengthy report in 2016. I suspect he will be a happy bunny when what he reported starts to hit main stream.

Funds and general stock market investments.

Years ago it used to be bios and the like that caught the eye as the risk reward ratio could often be huge, but bios dropped off the radar some time ago.

In recent years it's been all about software related companies and as we know some of the world's biggest companies developed from garages.

I have followed what a guy called Robin Klein has invested in re that sector.

Blue prism is good example of a share that went daft on the market cap (perhaps justified).

On the grid perhaps entirely missed by the market is the new software age called advanced materials.

It not tech, it's not software, it's an entirely new industry yet to hit the market.

That age will hit and when it starts to hit the investment world will start to take note. Then a host of analyst experts will pop up worldwide in an advanced materials frenzy.

I don't think many realise that some very wealthy folk are well aware of some advanced materials and some related companies.

billwave - I looked into this carefully yesterday. I can find no info. indicating that AECOM have chosen the VRS product for the project, other than testing its suitability.

All we have in the RNSs so far is - 24 August 2018 -

"Versarien and AECOM, a US headquartered and Fortune 500 company, which is involved with multiple projects globally, will initially be working on a project involving the incorporation of Versarien's proprietary Nanene few layer graphene nano-platelets into large- scale polymer structures used in civil infrastructure projects, with a view to increasing their structural strength."

06 December 2018 -

"This supply agreement follows the collaboration the Company entered into with AECOM, a US headquartered and Fortune 500 company, announced on 24 August 2018. This collaboration covered a project that AECOM and Versarien have been undertaking involving the incorporation of Versarien's graphene nano-platelets into large scale polymer structures used in civil infrastructure projects, with a view to increasing their structural strength.

AECOM have confirmed the first Statement of Work ("SOW") from the supply agreement which includes the supply of 50 kg of Versarien's graphene enhanced polymer material to be delivered in early December 2018, with a further SOW expected to cover the delivery of 200 kg in early January 2019. These quantities will be used for final testing of the structures and upon successful completion of final tests, the companies expect to make further announcements in Q1 2019."

Apparently the 200kg has been delivered.

The RNSs refer to "large scale polymer structures". I have not found anything official about the nature of these structures nor what project or projects these structures may be used in. Has anyone reading this board superior info?

Awful to read of people's recent losses at RED. People who were convinced by company management bullishness and bulletin board posts insisting that RED had some unique and special technology etc etc.

Sound familiar? Believe NOTHING you read on a bulletin board...and take management hyperbole with a MASSIVE grain of salt IMO.

'Global Leaders, Senior Members of Congress and Administration to Attend "Graphene On Capitol Hill" Event in May.'

"Groundbreaking Summit will pave the way for graphene integration in major industries."

WASHINGTON (PRWEB) FEBRUARY 27, 2019

"American business and industry leaders will join U.S. government officials and international graphene leaders for the American Graphene Summit to be held in Washington, D.C., May 21-22, 2019.

The unprecedented two-day Summit features a “Graphene On Capitol Hill” event, keynoted by Senator Roger Wicker. (R. Miss), chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee. Responding to Senator Wicker’s invitation, senior members of Congress and Administration and leaders of graphene industries will focus on shaping the architecture surrounding graphene technologies and evaluate its impact on the U.S. and the global economy.

“Graphene is a material with enormous potential. The American Graphene Summit will help participants assess the ability of this material to improve consumer products and develop recommendations to support U.S. leadership in graphene commercialization,” Senator Wicker said.

Organized by the National Graphene Association (NGA), the American Graphene Summit will begin on May 21, 2019, with the “Graphene Leaders” event held at the W hotel, concluding on May 22 with the “Graphene On Capitol Hill” event. The “Graphene Leaders” event will explore the future of graphene in different industrial segments and product markets such as automotive, aviation, oil and gas, telecommunication, healthcare, and electronics.

The “Graphene On Capitol Hill“ event will be held in partnership with U.K. representatives at the Kennedy Caucus Room in Russell Senate building. Representatives from the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Energy (DOE), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and Economic Development Administration (EDA), as well as state legislators, members of the Congress, and international dignitaries will be in attendance to discuss invigorating graphene-focused collaborations between business and government in the national and international verticals.

“For the first time ever, we are creating a platform where current and future stakeholders in graphene will convene to identify focus areas critical to the national U.S. objectives — from security, infrastructure, and economic standpoints — and how graphene can significantly impact these focus areas.” said Dr. Zina Jarrahi Cinker, Executive Director of the NGA."

Good Evening Schmally,

I used to be a shareholder in Talga Resources, I am not sure why you think this is old tricks when I am trying to protect Hotcopper users from BS,

Please have a read through the following link, It was completed by Port Phillip Publishing. Since it was released the share price of TLG has risen by approx 60%.

If you knew all of this information contained in the article is incorrect or misleading, would you not share / point out the flaws in the article ?

BTW this is not the full version, you need to subscribe to PPP to gain access,

If you need a run down on Talga Resources, I am more that happy to help you, DM if you do.

I see some people have felt the need to reinvent themselves with new names or copy others with subtle changes. These same people (or person) have never to my knowledge posted anything positive about this share yet it is obvious why they feel it essential to waste part of their life attacking a company they obviously are not invested in.This could be jealousy Ideology Shorting TrollingPersonal vendetta Or just plain stupidWhichever it is is pointless as it defies logic and doesn't make sense I have yet to see any sustainable and validated argument they substantiates what you allude to. Look back at where you started posting and what you said and where we are now. Which part of significant progress is difficult to comprehend. The new industrial revelation MAY be imminent with disruptive tech becoming the enabler, making the previously unthinkable, possible, previous so called crazy people a genius. Some I will say will not come off and that I accept but to not try is to not live nor breathe. One day your ivory tower will be a graphene enhanced tower and you'll feel safe to lie low I know nooothing
