We are currently in a bit of a pincer movement between day traders and a more sophisticated gang of shorters than hitherto. Some of the shorters are appearing subtly as innocent doubting Thomas’s full of ‘wonder why’s’. I suspect the whole gang is acting as a coordinated group.

A lot of the day traders are here because they have tracking algorithms that throw up companies showing share price weakness, accompanied by some degree of volatility. Once day trading starts it tends to feed on itself.

A big order will snuff both influences out in a trice. Bring it on!

If you look on their website it lists some of the projects. I think they were established over a decade ago, a guy out of Princeton so they've been at this a while. Some areas of crossover with Cambridge eg printed circuits (quick dry I think) plus a range of other areas inc DOD work on military radios. Check out their site. Not looked for or found and TDS yet

I came across some very indefinite figures on Owler suggesting they may turn over $3.5m with 115 employeeshttps://www.owler.com/company/vorbeckI wouldn't put too much credence on this. Their competitors listed, including some outfit called Versarysomething

a reminder.

6 December 2018..

Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, is pleased to announce that it has signed a supply agreement to provide Versarien's new graphene enhanced polymer range to AECOM for a current infrastructure project.
This supply agreement follows the collaboration the Company entered into with AECOM, a US headquartered and Fortune 500 company, announced on 24 August 2018. This collaboration covered a project that AECOM and Versarien have been undertaking involving the incorporation of Versarien's graphene nano-platelets into large scale polymer structures used in civil infrastructure projects, with a view to increasing their structural strength.
AECOM have confirmed the first Statement of Work ("SOW") from the supply agreement which includes the supply of 50 kg of Versarien's graphene enhanced polymer material to be delivered in early December 2018, with a further SOW expected to cover the delivery of 200 kg in early January 2019. These quantities will be used for final testing of the structures and upon successful completion of final tests, the companies expect to make further announcements in Q1 2019.
Neill Ricketts, CEO of Versarien, commented: "We are delighted that our collaboration with AECOM has progressed as we had anticipated.
"This application has significant potential for Versarien, as the volumes of graphene that are required in these types of structure are significantly larger than for many other applications given the scale of the structures being produced.
"We look forward to continuing to work with AECOM on the final phases of testing and look forward to making further announcements on this project in the New Year."

Morning philbyk9,

See you are new to VRS board.

1. Are you invested here or short?

The article I saw from DaveMac3 said:
"For the project, Aecom is working in glass fibre-reinforced plastic. Using this lightweight material, the signalling structure can be carried into position by just two people at ground level, with installation completed in one shift."

Did not see the words:
"..carbon fibre mix currently favoured" says GRP??

2. Can you give link please?

Are the words:
"..Graphene another possibility but sense cost may be prohibitive even if trials are positive. Huge potential if it does land but imo long shot."

3. These words in the article or your words?

Nice to see share price edging north again eh?

Evening Philbyk9

Do you have a source to the Smith and Jones comments regarding AECOM's 3D printing ?

---------------------------------
Great update from Smith and Jones who head up Aecom infrastructure project. Currently working with over 60 materials/composites to find the right 3D printing combination, carbon fibre mix currently favoured because of cost and weight.
Graphene another possibility but sense cost may be prohibitive even if trials are positive. Huge potential if it does land but imo long shot.

Interesting post, Evergreen.

What does "That the apogee on my probability spectrum for the near term...." actually mean, and what are you using to derive such a specific figure of 703?

I suspect that many LTHs like myself will occasionally indulge themselves in speculative assessments of future share price based upon estimates of turnover,EBITDA and PE ratio. This is not to be founded upon as the values adopted for the variables could be significantly at variance with what actually transpires but by inputting for each variable a value from the improbably low to the improbably high for the near term (12 months) the share price that results from the most probable inputs suggest an share price of over 700. Looking further forward with global sales across so many sectors the number goes so far north of this that it starts looking like another fevertree. I have no idea of the known unknowns that are veiled behind the NDAs let alone the unknown unknowns that could impact on the longer term values but short of something apocalyptic occurring that frustrates the fourth industrial revolution the implications for LTHs would appear to require that we will all have to massively recalibrate our expectations.

This company Vorbeck Materials Corp - Questions

1. Had $20M investment 2009 to 2014. Any accounts we can look at?

2. Why did NR point it out?

3. Views from the experts ???
