Looks like we have to ii’s taking a significant interest in VRS. Unfortunately it is of the dotty version and not the sophisticated, or after clarification have I got that the wrong way round. Needless to say craigy has been infested by an additional vowel.

Thanks Spike.
I think that we need to remember that originally, this was a big order for the UK arm of AECOM and would be delivered to their subcontractor.
The AECOM HQ in the US must like what they see, as it is going global and is far larger than originally planned.
No doubt a big launch is being planned and I would not be surprised if our government wanted to be there also.
As the product is going global, other AECOM subcontractors will be involved and need a little time to gear up and perfect their process.
I am in no doubt this is going to be huge for VRS, but also for AECOM.

In the meantime Matt and Yi are beevering away with the Chinese, Koreans and Japanese.

I am feeling very positive and looking forward to events unfolding.

"I see NR is indicating on Twitter that last year's placing was to make sure the company has plenty of cash, I thought it was raised for the gnanomat deal?"

More BS from NR to ensure his current living standards for the next few years of no contracts, no deals, no sales? I hope all long term holders are remaining open minded and taking onboard ALL of the signs and information, not just what they want to hear.

SG, thank you for the link to the Peel Hunt survey of the effects of MiFID II on mid and small-cap stocks. Interesting, though mostly not surprising info IMO.

With IDs, Vox markets, Twitter and direct comms, VRS is well in tune with these extracts:

- MiFID II may be causing companies to take the initiative to work with their advisors and to be more active in their engagement with investors, both current and potential.
- Investors say that holding a capital markets day is the best way to improve visibility.

From reported comments and a known meeting with AIM management, I guess Neill would agree with:

- Perceptions of AIM appear to be relatively neutral at the moment, but a
majority of fund managers are reluctant to label it an attractive market for companies looking to float.

As SG has said, it is not good that:

- ......a sizable majority see the effect of MiFID II on the liquidity of mid
and small-cap stocks to be negative.

Re the following extract, IMO our website has room for improvement with regard to attracting investors:

- 90% of companies have either improved, or plan to improve, their corporate website as a result of MiFID II

Our website has much good content but seems rather “clinical̶1;. Given its content, it is under-presented and, at a lower level, it is not fully up to date (e.g. collabs), and needs to be expanded (e.g. Business Model). All in due course I’m sure and I would agree there are other priorities at present. Solid, informed investors have been more important than those attracted mainly by pzazz, but the net does need to be cast more widely.

Let's not forget - my comment was my opinion and NOT based on anything VRS had said at the lunch, whereas sg's comment was based on feedback from VRS, an important difference.

Best wishes - Spike

I expect the Aecom deal is imminent in the same way as ISO was "imminent" a year ago according to NR. Talk about being led up the garden path. Some mugs never learn.

All:
Re earlier comment: After the lunch posts I'm sure some felt that the indicators were that first orders would be small then grow. That is completely FALSE information.

for the avoidance of doubt, below is the relevant section of my 'after lunch' post. I think I make it clear where I am using info' provided at the lunch, and when I'm giving my own opinion. The size and timing of Aecom orders was not discussed at the lunch (obviously), my comments were intended as a foil against negative comments on other threads.

To call what I have said as ‘FALSE’ is a very harsh interpretation, but I have broad shoulders, and if sg’s comments prove correct so much the better.

Best wishes - Spike

Since it's been mentioned very specifically on the other thread - Aecom: he very carefully made it clear that the info' found, posted and discussed, had caused very big waves (my words) and had delayed the current project (I won't say how much here) but I got the impression this delay was in the past and wasn't related to current 'timetable' projections. And as we know Neill re-iterated on Twitter that there was no change to the published RNS'd timetable (March).

Talk on the other thread about the value of this project being less than expected: my take is that in fact the value overall of this project/concept has expanded (significantly) in scope and size far beyond the original UK project brief, however the amount of polygrene eventually needed will not all come in in one magic huge order, but will be lots of 'relatively' small orders over time. Hence - in my view - the comments here about not coming up to expectations, and will depend very much on what those expectations are.

Well, I hope the food was good the other day, cause based on the share price action since, I think we can conclude that the existing and potential investors didn't run out to their bookmakers (ooops, sorry brokers, forgot how sophisticated they are) and back VRS big time. Clearly no new news was forthcoming, which is only right in this type of setting, but it looks like the extra 'colouring' was quite pale.
