Graphene sensors in fart analysis?

Don't laugh ;-)

The NHS is now trialling breath sensors that can help detect early cancers of throat, nose, oesophagus, stomach and lungs.

Apparently the same principle is thought likely to be of use in testing farts for traces of gases associated with cancers of the intestine and bowel. But so far the membranes employed have not proved reliable enough in distinguishing suspect gases from normal gases.

Instead of we elders being asked to send faecal smear cards by post every 2 years, we will be sent a sort of pant liner which, after a fart or two, is placed in a plastic sleeve, sealed shut, and checked an hour later at home - by when a coloured indicator will show results.

Presumably an area in which membrane materials of a more sophisticated nature are required.

An example of what happens if you employ F'wits.

Iceland have done a pizza with an Ed Sheran Album promotion.

On twitter they have created the hashtag

#deeppanalbumparty

You may need to read it a few times. :-)

I'll stop talking about Brexit when the insanity is stopped and the liars, spivs, disaster capitalists, charlatans, frauds and traitors who have brought this country to the edge of ruin are held to account.

And not before.

This article looks ahead to new phone models for 2019, but can't see 'folding screen mobiles' taking off - Too big he says. But of course, thin graphene displays could be the answer. and better thermal management could help make the phones thinner and with faster processors than current tech allows for. +nanene casing could make the mobiles stronger, especially where they hinge/fold? And Per tweet at henan province uk presentation, neill said better thermal management in mobiles could be achieved with hexotene. Thus, if a new 2D materials enhanced folding mobile was essentially the same thickness as the latest mobile phone, but when opened up gave a tablet performance, i could imagine that catching on ? Aimo. Best ellis

'But what about folding phones?'

"Like something out of science fiction, folding phones will become a reality next year, with one already unveiled and Samsung’s effort due to be launched at some point in 2019.

Whether or not the reality lives up to the fantasy, folding phones are likely to remain niche for years.

“Although a magnet for gadget lovers, the folding phone’s inevitable high cost and its trade-offs in usability will result in limited shipments. Problems are likely to include poor readability in sunlight, a bulky design to protect the screen’s fold and the need for an external screen,” says Wood in his predictions for CCS Insight.

Still, if you really must have the most bleeding-edge device, it looks like you will be able to buy one in some form as the never-ending quest for larger and larger displays continues."

So is George Soros a UK resident, living in the UK?? Nope, didn't think so. Keep your politics off this site, it's for VRS talk.

I meant your obsession (yawns) with everything being due to Brexit. Do give it a rest old chap. This morning I broke a plate; I don't blame that on Brexit (though I suspect you might find a way of doing so!) ;-o

scapegoating who for what? I'm merely stating facts. Murdoch, Rothermere and the Barclay twins *do* avoid UK tax, and Banks *is* under investigation by the NCA.
