07/12/2018 10:07 | For these guys of low moral character like Tom and Tim, they are not really interested in understanding the company or doing real research. They are just concentrated on finding any way possible to make money, just the kind of people who would buy a stack of fixed odds betting machines and line them up outside a soup kitchen with free credit facilities. Just very sad individuals living sad lives, purely measuring their success amongst each other according to their bank accounts. | ![]() tomduck
07/12/2018 09:59 | Trying not to get too "hyper" about AECOM, but this sort of project will be mind blowing, tis the future! “Through our partnership with Virgin Hyperloop One and the Colorado Department of Transportation, we are defining the next generation of infrastructure and transportation systems to addresses the shifting way people and freight need to move,” said Travis Boone, an Executive Vice President at AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm. “The Rocky Mountain Hyperloop showcases how we imagine, partner, and innovate to help define mobility of the future.” In addition to technical and economic aspects, the study will offer multiple opportunities for additional partners and stakeholders, such as local governments, businesses, and community groups to become part of this venture and to help make hyperloop a reality in Colorado | ![]() bootie64

07/12/2018 09:49 | I'd have been the same Grabster, I lost my hearing in one ear 12 years ago, and since then I dread gatherings and meetings. It's awful isn't it, nodding away, pretending you're involved, when all you can really hear is garbled noise and music? | ![]() festario
07/12/2018 09:46 | Been doing some digging on Aecom and it seems they are heavily involved with the US National Energy Tech Labs and carbon capture technology using graphene oxide membranes. It would seem logical to assume VRS could also be involved either now or in the future. - Some exciting potential applications across multiple industries - a recurring theme it seems | schmally

07/12/2018 09:45 | Many thanks guys for the feedback from last night's London meeting. Excellent stuff - and remarkable that NR took the time to be there. Pleased to hear that it was so well attended - making it a seriously worthwhile event and justifying NR's presence. 20 years since I was last in London (only been there five times in 70 years), and my hearing is nowadays too poor to follow discussions in crowded pubs or at most other meetings - so I am heavily reliant on readable feedback from trusted posters, which I very much appreciate. | ![]() grabster
07/12/2018 09:37 | Scrutable Just to say a pick you told me about some time ago. You only listed 7. You told me AAZ looked like one of the most undervalued gold miners out there. It was 7p when you told me about it. 90p ish now so you picked a genuine 10+ bagger there through research. Well done. | ![]() superg1
07/12/2018 09:34 | Last night - I said to a_game, you do know this guy flies cattle class, and Neill responded that he got upgraded (both ways) to business, and from the conversation I get the feeling that now happens quite a lot for him - which is excellent news! | ![]() spike_1
07/12/2018 09:29 | Morning All, Great to meet everybody that arrived at the informal meeting last night, and especially grateful to Neil given his schedule this week. To add to the comments already posted the cost savings re the seat backs are due to the lack of need for the aluminum strips within the seat thus making them cheaper to produce. The plus for the airlines is that this brings considerable weight savings making it a no brainer to retro fit over the life of the aircraft for fuel savings. Given that the seat backs have passed faa fire safety regs, this will read across to allow use in other internal parts within the main cabin, to which reeled off about 10 parts off the top of his head. Massive implications if all these parts are retro fitted over the coming years. The bonus for tyres is that something similar applies in their manufacturing process. Neill didnt let on what exactly, but there is an awful lot going on in the world of tyres!!! To settle the debate once and for all re the volume question of nanene I asked Neill directly. The flask he had within his backpack, in his words, contained about 70g and was about a litre in volume! We also got to hear some of the comments from the visit some lucky people who went on the Cambridge visit recently and were in awe of the kit, processes and knowledge of the guys working there. A very good night all round, and it looks like we will having a good christmas. Thanks to A_Game for organising Baz | ![]() baz99
07/12/2018 09:19 | Spike The naughty step relates to a trail that was followed. Followed by a tactical retreat when speculation turned into realisation on further bits found. There is a chance the actual contract behind it is out there somewhere. No need to worry about that though as while that is huge, it’s just the start re Aecom imo. I note Bootie’s post re some suggesting it’s fake news. Yeah yeah Aecom in on it too and created that dedicated hidden website to fool us. | ![]() superg1

07/12/2018 09:10 | Just listened to Neil's interview on Directors talk and I'm pretty sure when asked about the 17 collaborations he said those were the ones that had been announced to the market, hence reconfirming that the business has more than 17 collaborations on the go. | ![]() cheek212
07/12/2018 09:10 | It's no different (alliance news) with the recent article (can't remember if it was The Times or not) re IQE. Very lazy reporting that showed to any reasonably well informed investor, how little recent research the author had undertaken. | ![]() tini5

07/12/2018 09:08 | SuperG. Looking at the interims I was very impressed with the control of finances., Especially when you look at the additional senior management personnel they have taken on in past 6mtgs. Not only does it mean the business is sustainable near term it also demonstrates the senior management team would rather have smaller salaries offset with share options rather than huge inflated salaries. This only makes sense if company delivers... | ![]() flatcoat1 |
