27/11/2018 16:11 | This was in the geic rns. Best ellis "As part of its membership Versarien will join the GEIC Technology Advisory Board and the Company will have dedicated GEIC laboratory space and the ability to utilise the centre's facilities. Other GEIC advisory panel partners include Airbus, Akzonobel, BAE Systems, BP, GKN Aerospace, Johnson & Johnson, Jaguar Land Rover, Siemens, Tata Steel and Thales. Neill Ricketts, CEO of Versarien, commented: "I am delighted that Versarien has joined the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre as a tier one partner. "Through the GEIC we will be able to access a world class facility and be at the heart of graphene developments. We will also benefit from working alongside other GEIC corporate partners, enabling us to further advance the commercialisation of graphene." | ellissj

27/11/2018 16:09 | fuji get your facts right. apple is not a major market for iqe wafers and shorts are now under 9% and falling | ![]() adejuk
27/11/2018 16:06 | when the machine is up and running (it shouldn't be long) it just maybe be a different ball game...we will see. | ![]() jointer13
27/11/2018 16:02 | grity - Why I woudn't invest in IQE ? Because its major income comes from Apple. If apple pulls the plug as it did for Imagination, the company is dead. As it is now, IQE growth is in stagnation mode. Then add people not buying new phones as they are either expensive or their old ones are doing the same job as the new ones. So stagnation will set in for a long while unless a takeover happens. I got out from 130p and if I want I would double my stake now but I wouldn't touch it because what is happening looks as a dead cat bounce. Then add how many shorters waiting around the corner - more than 10%. I am even worried it will go back to the 10 - 20p traditional levels in a year without decent growth. | ![]() fuji99
27/11/2018 15:59 | FoolishB, From memory Neill's words in the podcast were something like, "we are still in a cash burn phase", which of course is entirely reasonable given that the 2d material element of the business is still very new and sales are not yet material. The business has been scaling up and paying for additional machines, of which the new bigger machines are still not operational yet. It won't be until the new machines are up and running that larger orders can be fulfilled as part of the many collaboration and testing work ongoing. For all we know some collaborations may be on hold until sufficient quantities can be produced for next stage testing by the various companies VRS are working with. The big, BIG profits won't arrive until new manufacturing facilities are established in the various territories desperate for high quality graphene and/or a bigger facility is built in the UK. For what it's worth, I think the forthcoming results may show a reducing loss and some positive statements about a planned ramp up of production onsite in Cheltenham to fulfil increasing orders, anticipated to move the business into profit. IMO, this will be perfectly acceptable given where the business is with regards to it's development life cycle | schmally
27/11/2018 15:58 | some of the comments on this board baffles me. the company is going great guns and in a strong position...I know I know ...orders they will come ..all part of the process just stand back and take a good look ! | ![]() jointer13
27/11/2018 15:57 | Neill confirms trip to US still on. I guess a US/China trade agreement this weekend wouldn't do any harm neither imo. Best ellis | ellissj
