06/11/2018 09:57 | phoenix Very valid point, and I fully agree with you. It would be very interesting if someone had a table of the collaborations, the date they were announced, and the industry they were in. I could create one, but I guess someone has already done the hard yards. I also think the time it takes to do all the research and testing will depend on the industry.... so clothing for example will take much less time than cement or tyres. | ![]() ff2345

06/11/2018 09:51 | sdavis, I think that you need to be more aware of the processes through which Nanene has to go through. The first step is that the physical and chemical properties of Nanene are established through data sheets and that it may be suitable for the prospective client Following on from there, the potential customer will carry out their initial tests on the Nanene. This would normally take place in the lab. Once that is done and the Nanene is approved, small controlled tests are carried out using the product in a specific product determined by the customer. Having passed through that test, the customer will then run a much larger test, maybe even a commercial run of the product with the Nanene in it. Once all that is done all the analysis is checked and rechecked to ensure that no errors have occurred. Only then does the customer come back to supplier with a potentially sizeable order. The process can take a considerable time. In my industry which is no way as cutting edge as Graphene, it can take up to a year before original samples lead to a sizeable order for the material supplied. In summing up, investors should not expect a quick fix. Patience is the key. Neill has said the collaborations are ALL running well. I believe him and I suspect that we will hear news in the not too distant future. | ![]() phoenixs
06/11/2018 09:50 | My big concern is that the many collaborations produce no orders in the next month or so. Yes, it takes time, but many have been in place now for long enough. No news on this front could see the share price slip below 100p and then down to the 60p support level. VRS trades at around 8-9x its peer group. That's what I've called the Twitter Premium. There is simply nothing to justify this at all as far as I can see. Nobody including VRS can state why this should be the case. In the last podcast NR even said (paraphrasing) "It's not us that sets the share prices it's the market if it is happy the shares go up". If VRS reverts to its peer group valuation it will be a lot lower than 60p. I fully expect in time this will happen. | ![]() loglorry1

06/11/2018 09:24 | Interesting article and how small %'s make it worthwhile looking at big projects. Australia-China partnership moves into manufacturing phase of graphene cables The University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney and China's Hangzhou Cables have formalized a major collaboration to begin large-scale manufacturing of graphene power cables, which promise to cut electricity costs and improve grid transmission. This is an advancement of the May 2016 engagement between the two. The agreement, which will move the project into the second stage of development, was formalized at a ceremony to mark UNSW’s Torch Innovation Week, a showcase of Australian and Chinese partnerships. The joint venture between UNSW Sydney and Hangzhou Cables received an additional $3 million (around $2,160,000 USD) funding boost that will transfer laboratory research results into the industrial production of a graphene cable pilot line located in Hangzhou. An initial 10-meter prototype of the cable technology, developed at the Kensington campus over the past two years, showed that graphene can be used to stop electricity leakage that happens with conventional power cable and grids, which could deliver significant savings in electricity and emissions. The technology was invented by a UNSW research team led by materials scientist Professor Sean Li. The project is a flagship collaboration of the Torch Innovation Precinct at UNSW – an unprecedented partnership between UNSW-led research teams and Chinese businesses and industries with the capital and market access needed to translate Australian research into high-impact new products, processes and services. Professor Brian Boyle, UNSW Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Enterprise, announced that according to the test results of the National Measurement Institute (NMI), graphene-copper composite wire developed in phase one of the project reduced resistivity by 3.8%, compared with that of the copper wire within the same area. Professor Li said the "ultimate goal in phase two is to continue optimizing fabrication parameters to increase China’s grid transmission efficiency by 5%". It is most likely Archer supplying the graphene Graphite and graphene used in the research will be sourced from Archer’s Campoona deposit, which is part of the company’s Eyre Peninsula project in South Australia. Archer published a scoping study in 2016 on developing the project which revealed an initial 140,000 tonne per annum graphite mine could generate about A$858 million over 17 years. The company secured a mining licence for the Campoona deposit late last year and is awaiting other regulatory approvals before starting developments. | ![]() luckyorange
06/11/2018 09:22 | pshevlin - exactly. In the words of Tracy Chapman - if not now, when? It *does* matter when the first commercial deal comes- because if it takes too long the competition will capture the high ground. especially given this mgmt's apparent phobia about ANY publicity or PR whatsoever. | ![]() club sandwich
06/11/2018 09:15 | chill. does it matter if the first deal is done now or in a years time? two years time? etc. Even you must have a time window when you are expecting delivery otherwise you might as well have your cash in some other stock that will multibag in that time. | ![]() pshevlin

06/11/2018 09:09 | I can see why NS is distancing himself from the idea that his patents will protect his shareholders IP today on Twitter. If you carefully read the two patents the one which is granted from an application back in 2011 and the one they tried to get but withdrew when they got searches back indicating it would not be granted due to prior art you'll see why that might be. | ![]() loglorry1
06/11/2018 09:06 | Superg1 - Agree that many boards are populated with charlatans ready to commit crime for a quick buck as their only job is day trading. So once everything has dried out, they resort to lies, cheating or committing a criminal offense, sometimes without realising as they have no other way to make money. There are criminals on the streets and criminals on the bulletin boards. PI's should never lose sight and focus. Many are trained to cheat and deceive. That's their way of life and their way of earning a living. | ![]() fuji99
06/11/2018 09:05 | IMO the days of reckoning for the slaggers of VRS are fast approaching. It would certainly not surprise if a number of the collaboration come to commercial fruition at roughly the same time. Now that would be a jolly Xmas present for LTHs like myself. | ![]() phoenixs

06/11/2018 08:56 | Fuji Those scumbags are used to old infirm investors that don't know how too and wouldn't dare take them on. I see some on various threads making threats of violence. Tom W has said he gets death threats. People often do that in a moment of anger but rarely have the intent to do any of it. I can see from various posts that many don't understand the criminal offences that lot commit, including fraud, extortion and other related offences. Some of that lot have jobs and livelihoods that would be destroyed by a successful investigation. The various junk they throw out and false allegations is called diversion, doing the to the same guys that don't understand the original offences they commit. Most guys can't see that as they have never operated in that world. They are ridiculously complacent which makes it so much easier. Anyone that wants to jump into their hornets nest is welcome. The more the merrier. | ![]() superg1 |
