Log - I can assure you that no sane investor will buy shares from the management before they deliver on the business plan. NR’s only exit options are to make VRS a success or via a takeover.

@lovat agree that a positive is that VRS has strengthened the balance sheet with the raise at 145p. No question that's a positive. Relative to the £175m market cap though the cash balance is insignificant. 4p/share something like that.

As for director skin in the game. Works both ways despite what he tells you he'll be thinking of ways to sell and lock in gains I'm sure. He's paid £4000 for his shares worth more than £25m. Anyone sensible would want to realise gains.

As far as I can tell what you say about it being subjective is certainly true but that's sort ofy point. If NR can't meet the enormous expectations he's set he'll quickly find his very large retail investor base falls out of love with his relentless promotion.

I agree luckyO, looks to me like a 10% index correction across the board has been set. The compooters then play that game out. Vrs again supported 3 times today above/at 110p. Those looking for a crash in either the main markets or vrs might be disappointed. Aimho. Best ellis

Stock market crashes are caused by panic selling , simple as that. Algorithms should take the sentiment out of that , but guess what, it is humans who set the algo's . Corrections are ok and short term, paper money is made and lost until the tables turn.

As far as predicting the future of the market goes nobody can and if they could they wouldn't be on this bb that's for sure!

"...I'm not sure" - Log
"....Distribution of lateral size we know.." - We? Lol
"....So we reach the same conclusion.." - We do?

Hard-hitting stuff. Just pathetic innuendo.

Log, your OCD affliction with 'typos' can be sorted with professional help. PM me for advice.

Note to newcomers (and there've been a bunch today, particularly from Oz) - LogLorry is desperate to talk down VRS - there's no other reason he's here.

I didn't say there were loads of suppliers of FLG Graphene in size but there are some. Two being FGR and XGS.

FLG being 3-10 layers isn't the be all and end all anyway. For many applications more layers can provide better properties for others it's not so important.

The companies above can produce over 100mt/yr. I'm not sure at 0.365mt/yr you can really call VRS a company that can produce FLG at size.

Number of layers is also only one property. Distribution of lateral size we know is very important in strengthening polymers as a high aspect ratio is important. Nanene post the correction of the "typo" seems lacking in this property compared to its peer group.

I agree with Nature article. A lot of companies selling Graphene are not selling FLG as per the iso spec. That doesn't mean VRS is the only one that is.

So we reach the same conclusion. Not the only or best producer out there, miles behind in scale up and a £150m market cap premium.

The shares are way overvalued.

John Henry - If the FTSE falls below 6000 then it will be a fantastic long term entry point. To be fair even at 6900 it is more than fairly valued imo, if you have a mid term time frame.

S&P now corrected today. All bounced off lows. Best ellis.

"The tech selling spread to the Dow, which fell 500 points, or 2%. The S&P 500 declined 2.8%, joining the Nasdaq in a correction. Both indexes are down more than 10% from record highs."

To be honest since 2011 the market has been pretty benign.i think 6200-6500 will see a decent correction and would probably represent a fair value for the market considering the mounting problems that need discounting.
Imho the US will probably start pricing in a US recession towards the end of 2019.
end of 2019 might see the FTSE around 5500
