I will take back what I said last week about VRS weathering the bond crisis! But as a LTH I am not concerned and I find this plunge rather amusing. I am here for years not just days, and the VRS journey has only just begun.

We need a good RNS showing money coming in from collaborations. Unfortunately at this present moment it would probably be sold into. The joys of the market eh? Just a week or so ago some were talking £2.

Keep your eye on the Italian Bond market . Can Europe ECB etc defend it? Do the Italians wish to?Euro . It's like a well- built but Non-spring cart pulled by very strong oxen , it will when pulled over a ploughed field survive seasons of full use, but eventually a creak a big groan and eventually a wheel falls off. That falling off will spook lots of people, we're not in the Euro and building the next economy is our mission so whereas some falls are "raison- able" ours here I. VRS will be, overtime , but a blip. THE Spooker here is the Italian situation. But many Italian bonds are held by individuals in the wealthy north Po valley, so it's not easy to read.

sonson,

Apologies but this is the stock market...it's not a particularly big correction. Stocks can go down as well as up.

Pshevlin, yes I think that's what galls the most - shorters getting a bunk up out of their fetid holes.

ps

Look at it another way if you have shorts about then you have buyers.

But then if you look at posts sone can't get small buys completed.

The drops are generally well in excess of reasonable moves based on volumes. So no one is going to get a million or two at this price.

Don't forget they are also big and long in other stocks and pumping them, those stocks have been caned too.

this is a growth stock
vrs has no income to speak of and with its potential it will always do well in a bull run
come the squeeze, caused, now, by interest rate hikes [that or inflation], it will always get kicked
nothing has changed and won't until it starts to generate income

Sonny even if it is we are in disruptive sector, imo once everyone’s nerves settle we will be grand, at the present moment in time I don’t want an RNS as we wouldn’t be receiving maximum lift off due to market sentiment at present aimo

What I think could be interesting is a scanario like what Imagination Technologies found itself in, in its early years when Apple took a stake in its Company.

Vrs are not a one trick pony but I can see something similar playing out here in the event of a substantial order. Not beyond the realms of impossibility.

Can sell at 131 but not going to, I wish I knew jf this was the start of a recession, hard to see much recovery without pretty material news as most buyers will be too scared ATM, imo. I know I said I was takimg a break but these are desperate times where we all need each other and rally together

Not overloaded with Instis Super but you an bet it will be instis that are picking up stock yesterday and today. Just waiting until one passes notifiable level.

I find the posts a bit odd claiming the stock market was going to bounce today. DOW was over 800 points down and forecast everywhere of it going to open materially down for the rest of the world.

So last night anyone that checked any stock market related news should have known it was tin hat time today.

The geared spread bet type folk in the market have had a terrible time and I imagine have had little sleep this week. Many will have lost all their money.

They take stupid risks and get punished for it.

What will be the case now is a load of cash in the market looking for the bounce.

Spot on. Very few funds with stock here and what now appears like some private investor selling. This is good news, they will rob your money and up she goes.

Nice points in the main with many understanding the stock market.

Up like stairs down like elevators. Everyone expects massive sells offs so they sell like mad and then say they have called it right. So hard to call the bottom though.

Always the same huge drops not justified by actual volumes across various shares.

Funds take off buy orders MMs don't want to be caught holding stock.

At some point it corrects but in the chaos it clears out the traders, geared gamblers, stop losses etc etc which is always a good thing.

A spring clean but you just don't know when the spring clean is finished until it's obvious.

Already posts saying can't buy shares which is also typical.

The good news for VRS is that they are not loaded with instis invested that may decide to wholesale dump certain sectors or small caps.

If you "can sell 40k" but MMs won't fill an order for 2k, then either the MMs are loading up with stock for the bounce (not likely) or they have a buyer soaking everything up, who is getting preferential access over PIs. Lovat?
