Just to lighten the mood a little for those golfing today

A golfer walks off the 18th green, hands his putter to his caddie and says, "Kid, you've got to be the worst caddie in the world."

The caddie replies, "Sir, that would be too much of a coincidence."

A BIRDIE tells me that President Xi is elsewhere today, but that shouldn't be an ALBATROSS. Hopefully the EAGLE-eyed will spot some juicy positives and the price will be a HOLE lot better by close of play. Are you using a CADDIE for that TEE?

Hope you enjoy the VRS social day, I thought I'd post a few golf quotes to get you into the mood:

“The most important shot in golf is the next one.” Ben Hogan

“I regard golf as an expensive way of playing marbles.” G.K. Chesterton

"While playing golf today I hit two good balls. I stepped on a rake." Henny Youngman, Comedian

"One of the reasons Arnie Palmer is playing so well is that, before each final round, his wife takes out his balls and kisses them. Oh my God, what have I just said?" U.S. Open Commentator

If anyone manages to catch any titbits on the current collabs, particularly Arrow GREENtech it WOOD be nice if you could report back to this BB........I need a strong cup of TEE now!!!

Indeed squire, and then if applicable, store the excess electricity in 2D enhanced batteries, until reqd in the grid, remembering the 'significant advance' in battery tech rns ! Aimo. Best ellis

Nigel already here and setting up. Assisted by President Xi on the coffees and Elon Musk on the bacon rolls. Should be a good day.

Cunning plan. Leave early for golf. Kids back at school, traffic chaos guaranteed. Risk of accidents and hold ups.

👍👍Great, sods law, I think everyone overslept, roads were clear. I'm here 2.5 hours early.😎€526;😎

Very nice down this way and weather great, just got to spot when Chris Leigh turns ups and reconfigure his clubs with a sledgehammer.

NR will be thrilled, he absolutely adores golf NOOOOOOOTTT😤

Well I hope the weather for golf is better than it is here on the south coast - otherwise everyone might gather at the 19th hole sooner than planned!

bungle obviously thinks he can make an impression while (almost) everyone is on an away day. Not on me as I can't see his posts, just his silly name.

I am unclear where they are at 1teepee, initially they were all about functionalisation and I don't know if that is the case now. Ray was focussing on the graphene but they have money in the bank to do other things, see where they go from here!

I notice Keith is to be COO at Haydale - not CEO. Ray was titled CEO. Does this give Keith less freedom that if he were CEO? And will they have a CEO as well? (presumably not in a company this small; having a President as well as a Chairman and a COO sounds a bit ott for such a little company). (HAYD market cap is one fifteenth of VRS).

The explanations that some offer for the difference between a CEO and a COO are not particularly helpful:

"Bringing in COO too soon creates unnecessary ego gratification. A five person company doesn’t need a COO. A twenty person company doesn’t need a COO. A one hundred person company doesn’t need a COO. Maybe a 1,000 person company needs a COO. Maybe."
