Max to sell is 30k shares, at 1.51pA little back test of 150p going on? ... whilst there is a lull in the newsflow?Or perhaps the volume is so ridiculously low, that actually nothing is going on!

indeed, superg1. And as mentioned before, the marketplace for high end speakers includes players who are forever keen to be one step ahead of all rivals.

The floorstanding Nautilus from Bower is priced at £55,000
But that is way down the scale for those money-is-no-object buyers, who may be few in number but who are useful ambassadors for any product that displays a Nanene label:

Bower

I've been reading up, I see they have links with Apple probably due to their excellence re speakers (NS Sherlock). So if there is a link to Bower and the speakers do sound better then a natural progression should be in play where that tech is going.

For Geeks only - The likely science behind Aecom interest - from June 2017

"Experimental investigation for graphene and carbon fibre in polymer-based matrix for structural applications"

The best bit - (GA = graphene)

"Perhaps the most remarkable improvement in the tensile modulus and yield strength of a polymer through the dispersion of GA was reported by several investigators (Liu, Phang, Shen, Chow, & Zhang, 2004). By dispersing only 2 wt% of carbon fibres in a polymer matrix an increase of approximately 214% in the tensile modulus and 162% in the yield strength was reported. They attributed these impressive improvements in the stiffness and strength due to a uniform and fine dispersion of the carbon fibres and good interfacial adhesion between the GA and matrix"

Was listening to The Personal MBA by Josh Kaufman:
"if you're the exclusive source of what your prospects want, you win."
Seemed very fitting.
Versarien is (currently) the exclusive source for obtaining a scalable volume of high-quality graphene nanoplatelets.

Just trying to change topic from golf Grabster - a good walk spoiled by exhaustion if u have to hit the thing as often as I do - structural lattices/trusses everywhere - Giant crane booms etc - aircraft carrier decking/shipping another I presume

The downward drip continues. Tomorrow it will be a torrent as the rampers hopes of an RNS are dashed and they drag their clubs round the golf course with a heavy heart.

pcjoe - many thanks for the carbon fibre beams/trusses link. Interesting stuff that wasn't around in my day ;-)

How long before AECOM use graphene enhanced composites in lieu of steel and concrete in major bridge designs ;-)
(seen composites used in smaller bridges)

EDIT: This Gloucestershire bridge used GFRP, but graphene presumably offers improvements in that as well as in other bridge composites:
AECOM and WSAtkins have worked together before I believe.

And an Oxfordshire example:

I am not hoping but I think there will be RNS tomorrow. Be it Hexatene like even.

wonder when we're going to hear more about the JV/partnership/whatever with the makers of the magic machines? That to my mind would be a clear signal that demand was going to ramp up. All these applications are going to need an awful lot of nanene - 1000s and 1000s of Ts, so the obvious question is how they supply so much?

Re the Aecom Collab & this statement

"We are very pleased to have entered into this latest graphene application collaboration agreement, the first where our graphene will be incorporated into a large-scale structure for use in construction"

Im in construction & was wondering what kind of structure would benefit from Graphene the most - I reckon these things

Modern airports/malls etc & similar large buildings use huge lattice beam structures to hold up roofs - Anything that lightweights this & gains extra span - Graphene an expensive solution but anything that gains additional lettable floor area could be worth the extra

Some novel ideas for the not too distant future as well

"At one-third the weight of a steel truss, the carbon fiber version is a good candidate technology for offshore platform construction, including flare booms or deck structures, because of reduced construction time, ease of assembly, corrosion resistance and high stiffness-to-weight ratio. With 80 percent lower maintenance costs than steel, its higher material costs can be justified in a matter of a few years."

A potential few T of graphene in that lot

B & W have been doing kevlar reinforced speaker drivers / tweeters for years so graphene is next stop on the lightness/strength journey.

I for one hate golf but am going tomorrow for a nice walk, hopefully meet some other investors to chew the fat, put some faces to names and meet the wider VRS team ... and yes I hope I will get a better understanding on a few areas as well as winning an expensive charity auction!

I've obviously been concentrating on golf too much. Where did Bower get a mention?
