last year it was approximately one third of the company's issued share capital.

same as this year.

Even with the recent rise has the 'sentiment' effect really kicked into our share price yet? I don't think so. Once we receive the anticipated RNS', the real power of 'sentiment' will show its hand as the wider market comes to appreciate just what our company is about. Then the chase will really be on to buy our shares.

There's only upside here. At 200,000,000 shares we only need £5 for Unicorn status. That's a weak attempt at humour but I had to think hard to sort that out in my brain. Yes, I'd need to own 33% more shares

Not sure if it's been mentioned here, but I see that NR retweeted a Business Wales article regarding funding opportunities available for nanotechnologies this morning.

Spike - the spin will be that this *is* creating jobs in the UK (through extra machines being ordered, VRS taking on extra staff to service the contract) and tax revenue from VRS into the exchequer. Or that's my guess, anyway...

That is fine superg, not worried but need to question the shorter ammunition before it happens.

Club,
Unless VRS were to do a deal with a largish number of Chinese entities simultaneously, it isn't headline news (outside graphene circles).

I mean - how much press (outside Gloucester) did the DIT secondments have ?

And it's not like the UK will benefit from these Chinese deals by mass additional employment.

Best wishes - Spike

Just a point on the resolutions.

I believe they are the same as last year, so no change, no change.

Is that clear enough.

Forget the 50m shares, it's a contingency, it's not an issue.

"Oh and any China deal rns & associated govt noise is going to really vrs in public eye - wouldn’t be surprised to see that story hit the bbc news at high level"

I'm sure that's precisely what Fox and May are planning. Wouldn't surprise me to see NR sharing a platform with one or both of them. I'm not sure that one deal - however large - is going to offset the damage of Brexit (especially a No Deal Brexit), but I'm sure they'll spin it as such...

lucky re 50 mil, seems obvious to me: they will need substantial cash IF they see the opportunity to expand rapidly, possibly by acquisition? or setting up their own production base/s without losing total control and / or spending months negotiating with other entities.

Either way 50 mil means they are thinking big and doing so within the next year or so.

All good - Neill is a very smart cookie as we know ;0)

Best wishes - Spike

He doesn't know what the 50m shares are for.... That is the company covering off all eventualities and gives them options. Doesn't mean in any way will be used and if are am sure will be for an outstanding reason.

Lucky orange, that type of facility to issue more shares is common to have as a codicil at an AGM.It saves the need for an EGM etc should funds be needed quickly. They always provide for more than they need too.Example, that serial dilutor of mine GWMO has an agreed facility of 500m extra shares, but only placed 77m of those this year. It's standard practice to give any board room to manoeuvre.

lovat scout - if you could expand on the 50m shares, how and when that might be implemented, would be great.

50 mill? - might be the price we pay for umpteen squillion T of production in China? - I won’t complain if so - China is the global manufacturing hub after all - could end up being a shoal/pod/tribe of unicorns in short order if that the deal - no limits to my imagination as you can see...

grabsterThe bulk of Continental A.g.'s profits comes from automotive products (metal), not tyres (rubber).I understand that you're clamouring for positive news... but the wise man proportions his belief to the evidence.

Graphene Phase Modulators Hold The Key To Faster Mobile Technology

Researchers from Graphene Flagship Partners at the National Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT) in Italy, IMEC in Belgium and University of Cambridge in UK created and tested a graphene based phase modulator that outperforms existing silicon based ones.

The multi-national collaborative team, headed by Marco Ramagnoli of Graphene Flagship partner the National Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT), conducted several tests to see the efficiency of a graphene based modulator

“That is why we believe that graphene is a good candidate…This, as an experiment, is very simple and very inexpensive,” added Romagnoli.

Coffee time! - all looking very cheery here - having the China/hmgovt stuff bubbling away in in the background is great extra leverage for Neil hitting the USA in the next few months - the big idtech graphene convention in November included - re China the govt is going to want to be involved big time in any deal rns - it needs the pr & will actually be deserved in this case - can’t make the agm but hopefully some good questions asked and answered - I would still like to know the deal with the Nanene machines ( security of supply) - also any clue when the latest arrival due but everything looking very rosy at the mo
