Stopped here about this time last year at the beginning of a long road trip south through France.



Basic and functional; clean; Massive Auchan across the road; tolerable restaurant next door; good for anytime arrival (digital keys provided by email in advance). Several UK registered cars in the (secure-fenced) car park - obviously with similar ideas.

Re drones - indeed I did see it - fascinating.

In terms of views from above, of course satellite imaginary is now extensive and can be extremely high resolution.

I was interested to note returning once from Bagram U.S. Air Base near Kabul, that google appeared to have 'tippexed' (painted out with white) some of the installations there. We had spent several days there on one occasion shooting stuff (and a few awkward nights in bunkers while the base was rocketed), so knew where a lot of the sensitive buildings were (that we were not allowed to shoot).

I guess these days drones would come in handy. Did you see the drug-delivery-to-prisons Channel 4 doc. last night on the box? A whole Tesco-bag of goodies slung under the drones....
