Neill says he's heading into London and "I have a habit of selling before the big news comes out".

I guess they are going to London, meeting at No.10 or Chinese embassy.

"Clubby that's just infantile, Boris is Boris, he is not the whole government, and I'm sure the P.M. would love to get rid of him but can't as it unbalances the pro / anti Brexit cabinet."

well that's one view - another is she's too chronically weak, inadequate and dithering to do it.

*any* minister - from *any* government of *any* party - making comments like that should be fired immediately. end of story, no ifs and no buts.

NR (I think?) kinda tied in today's trip/event/meeting with yesterday's meeting with Dame Nancy Rothwell at which he discussed 'the future' ahead of today's thing.

I wonder if that means that today's meeting (wherever) involves some change to the company structure that would alter Manchester University's percentage holding or status? Or would tie the Uni into something which needed their prior approval?

Spike - if today's thing is at No.10, I presume that NR's presence at Bham International Station is because he stayed up north overnight and was merely passing through. But if so, why pause at B.I. station (which is adjacent to NEC and airport). Is it to pick up someone arriving by plane? From China? Or to collect someone local (Solihull?) en route to No.10?

Very low volume, bit of jittery profit taking off the all time high.We are just waiting for the buyer to re-emerge with his 10k and 20k blocks, and we'll be moving back up.Always beware of low volume, red days.... they are buying opportunities.

The govt have poured millions into graphene academia - not going to get much back quickly unless they match that with millions in seed capital invested into the commercial/industrial side - not very Tory but they need a good news story & a pointer towards a brighter future to raise morale if nothing else - I thought it might emerge in the welsh valleys myself - but Birmingham? - not bothered as long as VRS involved - Scotland oblivious to Graphene at the moment unfortunately - the renewables story here ( more than 100% domestic capacity on a breezy day) & new musk style battery storage etc would be a good match - combine that with the inevitable super conductive graphene cabling for export purposes & up North could do nicely

and only the naïve would believe that this government's support for VRS (welcome though of course it is) isn't at least as much about saving their lame asses with a (hopefully) good news story as it is about helping British business for its own sake. After all, we know the opinion of some members of this government towards business, don't we?

as for Spain not being a utopia - no, of course not, nowhere is. but when I'm sitting by my pool in my villa in the middle of the remote countryside, with minefields and motion-sensing machinegun nests to keep people out, I suspect it will look pretty bloody utopian to me... ;-)

ridicule

"You make money on the back of a significant investment by the UK Government in supporting VRS"

eh? VRS was already going great guns long before MW arrived. And if you mean Innovate and the catapults - great initiatives, no doubt, and that's what government is for, to promote and develop business.

not to destroy it with an insane, ill-thought-out, triggered-too-early Brexit.

Neill makes the point that it's the International Station - .... hmmm and that he is in a suit. If he was going abroad he would pack his suit I would have thought and traveled in casuals.
I wonder if it's No 10 again?

Hope it’s a Jaffa ridicule 🤔 keep it all multi cultural and we get our cake😂. Is it an investment or an attempt to get control by HMG. Think Neil will use what’s given to the Co’s advantage whatever. I read Spanish papers.
