Fireball - agreed, but I also agree that (as far as possible) we should keep politics off this thread.

Club re your post 19315. I agree one swallow does not make a Spring but, surely, the real BREXIT lessons in what hopefully will become a Chinese success story for VRS are:

- A close market (EU) is not the only market where you can do efficient business.
- New technology does empower global trade, using the cloud, 3D printing, etc.
- When making future economic forecasts, the 4th industrial revolution needs to be taken into account. The treasury forecasts that remoaners keep banging on about for their project fear campaign didn't even take account of the internet!!
- Entrepenuers, who start life in a garage, can move from there to being invited by the PM to join trade delegations and having a Dinner in their name, where the number 3 in China is the host in just 7 years.
- All this is what post-BREXIT globalisation should be all about about. The future is very exciting and its about time the Government started to provide leadership with an exciting vision of what a future global Great Britain can achieve. They have made a significant and exciting start by backing VRS.

Interesting post LUFC

I'll be keeping a close eye on twitter today. I'd love to know what was talked about in those multiple gov meetings that David and Matt seems so pleased about the other week.

Matt's tweet last night has me thinking something potentially huge could be in play.

He keeps going on about British jobs and revenue through the development of VRS.

We should stop looking at the squirrel imo and wonder WTF they know that we don't in relation to the various meetings David and Matt have been too.

Surely the Germans did not invent sliced bread! Far too much thinking out of the box for them. In my experience, the Germans have plan A and that is it. Look at what happened in the F1 on Sunday. Virtual safety car and Mercedes were like headless chickens.

With you Club. Tories not responsible for Graphene. Just latching onto it to save their skins. Look at Reece Mog, Redwood etc advising people to take their money out of the country. Anyway please keep politics off the board everyone as when it appears I will be obliged to respond.

Where is the epicentre of Graphene development? Surely a prerequisite of JIT is a seemless route to market. All the deals that UK PLC and the engine room of the economy are making are within the current peramaters of trading agreements. What is this idealistic view of a stand alone UK economy free from current trading agreements going to bring? This so called panacea of the great new world of free trade, which is incidentally is non existent and agreements in place are being attack relentlessly by protectionism. If it were as good as sliced bread surely the Germans would have done it?

I've been buying shares for years and can't remember any company having a Government adviser specifically assigned to them.....

Exactly LUFCS - it is this current government and it's Tory predecessor that put in all the graphene investment that got us where we are, yet is so despised by the likes of Clubby. They really don't have a clue of how business unfriendly the Corbin alternative is. Frightening!

Graphite - well I really don't want to get into a spat over Brexit. Let's just say I fundamentally disagree with your view and leave it at that.

No10 realised the value this could bring to the whole of this country. That is why what has recently happened, has indeed happened. Much more to follow. ATB.

Does anyone pay to use an ADVFN competitor? I am thinking of swapping from Advfn subscription to an ADVFN competitor subscription which will get me L2 for less than I am currently paying on Advfn. Do all the annoying adverts disappear if you pay for a subscription?

EV Company News For The Month Of June 2018

Worth a read to grasp the pace at which the EV market is moving. Everywhere, but especially in China. BYD to build a battery factory the size of 140 soccer pitches for example

Ch1rp - well what do we imagine realistically might be the most revenues VRS will *ever* get in a year? £100bn? Profits of £50bn? Corp tax @ c 20% = £10bn. Very nice, to be sure (even if it ever happened!), but not enough to replace the damage done by Brexit IMO...

Can't you build an entire economy? If VRS were THE go to factory for the world's new super material and the future technology it inspires, then why not?Although obvs other British companies have been selected to benefit from Innovate/ government finance.
