03/7/2018 09:00 | They will always find a way and a story for a stock to rise or to drop. For each direction they wish to chose to affect investor's and market mood, they consult their "library of psychological gadgets" always ready and handy via market "analysts and experts". Of course this is what makes the market moves all the time. Now for someone who is a long term investor, the blips within a chart of long term span will appear as micro-dots, with no significance. Long term is at least 5 years. | ![]() fuji99

03/7/2018 08:58 | pshevlin, I agree with you. Always have admired the way Germany uses the Euro valuation to export. It would be twice as hard if they had the Deutsch Mark. Pity they are not prepared to burden share with the Greeks, Italians ,Portuges etc, given they are exporting off a weaker currency than their economy, if it was stand-alone, could bear. Club, I did not say being part of the EU stops doing international trade. I said that not being part of the EU (BREXIT) does not stop it either!! I also agree there are challenges in achieving a clean BREXIT and threats of the type you describe, but I was not addressing those in highlighting the power of new technology to engage globally, regardless of distance, to the great benefit of the UK and small (at the moment) companies like VRS. In terms of the challlenges, we are where we are! Trying to reverse BREXIT will make us a Vassel State at worst and a much lees advantaged EU member at best with the possible requirement to join the Euro. These are not meant to be political points, they are essentially economic points. I agree raw politics should not form part of discussions here. | ![]() ridicule
03/7/2018 08:57 | Well Fest Matt did give a hint about today in his tweet. Some read them some don't. It sounds huge, so fingers crossed whatever it is works out for VRS. Yes we all want to make money but I for one also enjoy the prosperity for others it can bring. EG one of my fave tweets in recent times was from the guy that said his VRS investment had paid for his law degree. Another some time back said something like it had helped him get a deposit for a house. The struggles of life being helped by the hard work of others. | ![]() superg1

03/7/2018 08:55 | For a moment I thought I was on the wrong thread! Going back to VRS, I've managed to get funds into my ISA, so hopefully will be able to top up with VRS shares under 130 if I'm lucky... | ![]() turbocharge
03/7/2018 08:55 | Clubby that's just infantile, Boris is Boris, he is not the whole government, and I'm sure the P.M. would love to get rid of him but can't as it unbalances the pro / anti Brexit cabinet. By the way - don't forget the battery deal was - according to Neill - a direct result of this government that you so despise - taking him with them to China. | ![]() spike_1
