Off topic, I expected to see a much bigger rise on TESLA today, quite muted really.

VRS need to behave like Berkshire Hathaway re. shares in circulation. Restrict them. That's the way to make sure they rise.

A drop to £1.35, where will it finish...a sprint to £1.40+ or a battle to finish at all time closing high at £1.31?

tmoon - VRS won't issue any more equity just because an II wants to buy and is struggling in the market!

VRS will only issue new shares if they need it for JV, new equipment, company acquisition etc. and from what we have seen so far some of the collaboration partners fund the build out!

Billbyrne.......thank you for your post.

One of the names is ILIKA Tec which is getting over £4m for its battery developments. I have been building up research on this company as well as details on all the big developers and its getting most interesting.

ILIKA is a quoted company and can raise capital as and when from its big shareholders - none have done well but its still early stages for their interesting technology which needs Nanene.

Let's leave it at that................

I think any battery manufacturer linking up with VRS will shortly be amongst the largest in the world, and the converse applies.

Geely launched the electric London taxi in Jan of this year. They have lightweight Aluminium frames but still heavy because of the batteries...

Looks like we have some large players buying in the market today. A lot of decent sized trades have gone through today.

So if you read that link you can see the speed Chinese manufacturers are moving at.

It seems VRS could be in the process of linking up with one the largest EV battery makers in the world then.

So I'll look forward to that RNS. WMG says it works, VRS says it works so I do not see why it won't work for others.

What about the company making the electric London taxis - Geely? They operate in the uk as LEVC but HQ is in Hangzhou. Otherwise, this mob? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-01-22/baic-auto-seeks-reverse-listing-of-ev-unit-in-4-5-billion-deal

Sounds to me as if the “Chinese Automotive Battery” company (9.40-10.20 ish) doesn’t want to hang on for the provincial deal(s) to be finalised but wants to crack on with battery development, there was a reference to “fruitful visit with the Prime Minister... early days... lots of paperwork to do ... “ but the large company wants to get going.

It’s great from time to time to sit down and revel in being part of the VRS story, although it could of course all be a dream!

CATL look like they are the biggest in China.

NR stated bits about a follow on form the PM visit but I don't know if its directly connected.

It should read China auto battery maker and the details about that are in the podcast. The 'deal' is in the paperwork and legal process stage but they have put in an order first.

They talk of them being large company and global, so a case of trying to ID who it may be.

Regarding teslas and EV, NR said (podcast time 11:15)

if you talk to lots of those names you mentioned.. they gonna tell you that yeah we need some big changes to the technology around batteries and thats what we are helping to do.

Make your own mind.
