Mod, I quite like buffetology fund manager, he did invest into few companies which did not work out well but overall his returns have been great.

Very good MOD. I held ABDP years ago and let it go as thought it would be too cyclical. Oops.

TLS, Cbootle, thanks for the feedback.

Annual reports are usually filled with gold dust. However, it is impossible to sift through all these reports.

My vision is to use as much of computing power to automatically find and recommend interesting companies based on user preference.

I am thinking about extracting more data from these reports. Some of the ideas I have are ..

1- Automatically summarise annual results each day
2- Extract information about new positions by fund managers (Monk, Buffetology etc) and let users know about new positions asap
3- Identify market leaders, business models, moats and let users choose on what they like ...
4- Classify trading ahead or profit warnings and let users know about it.

These are just the thoughts. I am open to ideas on what will be most useful for wider community here...

Just discovered Monk Investment and impressed by the list of companies in their portfolio.

"During the year the share price of fourteen holdings rose by more than 50% in sterling terms. Of these we would categorise eleven as 'online platforms'. Often these companies are using the internet to deliver traditional services in a way that disrupts incumbents, just as Amazon has done in retail. "

"Another platform that seems to be emerging as a winner is GrubHub, the American online food ordering and delivery company. "

"China is successfully switching its economic focus from low-cost manufacturing to consumption and services. The government is actively promoting the development of domestic technology champions. Chinese consumer internet companies Alibaba, Autohome and 58.com all find themselves at the confluence of these positive developments. All performed strongly and counted amongst the leading contributors to performance for the year.

My first purchase of IQE ? 19p sold at 170p .... but what's the point in trying to prove anything ... after all it's what my SIPP ISA and SB accounts hold for me that makes the difference. I doubt you'll be in my mind when I'm spending those tbhHave a good day

I generally don't respond to these comments but hey. Toptrump you just don't have the character to be involved in the stock market. The only company I recall you highlighting was KIER about a year ago which is now about 20% lower. A poor quality company which would never appear on anyone else's list of ideas here. You can only snipe at others from the sidelines. You daren't offer up your own thoughts. Best to accept your fate and stick your money in premium bonds and stop wasting your time reading everyone else's input here. Some people just aren't cut out for this. No shame in accepting you are more of a follower than a leader.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that if you're a momentum trader but you ain't gonna get rich just buying stuff that's already multibagged

You guys make me laugh 😂
You discuss the same handful of shares as if you've all followed into them and have no others which if the truth be known would number a fair few each going nowhere
Ffs have some thoughts of your own, redartmud do you actually own Fevr? Or are you just sucking up to the APAD you seem to idolise?

Possibly, he's still gorra lotta shares though.

I was hoping he was preparing to sell the company.

I'm not uncomfortable with my holding, but would not rush to increase.
