02/3/2018 08:56 | Red, even Mark Minervini after 34 years of trading, hardly ever hold stocks going into results, unless he's well in profit, even then he sells at least half to lock in some profit. | modform
02/3/2018 08:44 | IC makes a decent case for buying MONY after the recent fall. apad😎 | apad
02/3/2018 08:21 | Noticed IMI, red. Very disappointing. Agree about buying ahead of results being perilous. It seems to be that even when the results are good there is a buying opportunity in the morning of the announcement. Yoodleland tarifs will affect sentiment today - about time the US did something to protect its real economy, in my view. Global free trade protects the few, in the developed world, at the expense of the many. BOO pushing down towards 170p again. Maybe being affected by the scam that is KOOV? Could be another buying opportunity in the offing. Everything I see gives me more confidence in the management: considering a new, cheap warehouse, developing warehouse automation, software improvements. Huge revenue growth, and making a profit! ARC had one, new big customer if I remember correctly, janeann 😊 apad😎 ps Check out the weather pattern on: earth.nullschool.net a brilliant graphic to see why the weather in Jersey and Hampshire is so different. | apad
02/3/2018 08:19 | janeann to red; don't buy before results! ps no advice intended! | janeann
02/3/2018 08:00 | janeann My senior moments are becoming more frequent:-) What did you say your name was? IMI Results not as good as i had expected. Earth to red - consider very carefully when buying ahead of results. red | redartbmud
02/3/2018 07:18 | multib - apologies - we have had the news; snow is addling the mind. | janeann
01/3/2018 20:13 | Hi Janeann, Re ARC and post 17329....wonder what news you are expecting next week ? | multibagger
01/3/2018 17:10 | Apad Also note that DOTD clients under the dotmailer T&Cs (see 5.1 to 5.5) have not been allowed to send spam or use purchased email lists even before GDPR was planned - see also explanation here: | valhamos
01/3/2018 15:18 | SDX now down to where it was last summer. The Sept. fund raising was well enough received, but it has gone nowhere since then. Still puzzled. However, my switch into BOO has showed a significant benefit. FT All Share down 6.3% on the year, Stairway up 2.2% so mustn't grumble. apad | apad
01/3/2018 13:14 | Nicely put Valhamos. I think I'll buy that viewpoint. Worth a look at the KOOV board for a refresher course in Confirmation Bias. Incredible! apad😎 | apad
01/3/2018 10:17 | I'm only going on what I've found in researching DOTD and D4T4 (so yes there could be an element of gloss) but I think incessant emailing from static mailing lists is old hat and counter productive, I think it is more dynamic reflecting the experience/history of how the customer engages with the organisation including website and social media. Other than implementation and compliance (e.g. proving/storing consent) issues I think GDPR is merely reinforcing what should be best practice for responsible organisations which I imagine most of DOTD clients are. | valhamos
01/3/2018 10:00 | The tintins will be recommending XPP after today. Another one that's been on my watchlist for far too long. apad😎 | apad
01/3/2018 09:42 | Could be just putting a gloss on it, perhaps? Hard to see how something with such an international presence can be effectively regulated in this way. Personally, I don't want nanny government regulating it - just give the tools to regulate it myself. apad😎 | apad
01/3/2018 09:10 | Interesting perspective valhalmos. Presumably though the incessant emailing must eventually convert some people who were not interested into buyers? Also some people who might have been interested if they'd seen the right communication will never see that communication if they've opted out?I expect it will have some effect but maybe there are ways round it. | hydrus
01/3/2018 08:57 | Can't remember whether I flagged this: maynardpaton.com/201 Usual, thorough job. apad😎 | apad
01/3/2018 08:46 | Pokemon cards will be a fad, red. Social media is a ground-up phenomenon - stop fretting 😊 apad😎 | apad
01/3/2018 08:42 | Big upside to Immupharma. Immupharma shares true value £200 very soon. Lupuzor success, Lupuzor superior efficacy, Lupuzor superior safety, Lupuzor blockbuster, Lupuzor multi-billion dollar sales, Lupuzor medical breakthrough, Lupuzor cure lupus, Lupuzor cures lupus, Immupharma takeover bid, big pharmas need Lupuzor, Immupharma profit, Immupharma FTSE 100, Immupharma transformational, wealth, fortune, multi-billion, blockbuster, aquisition, takeover, success, unique, novel, life changing, news, Investors Chronicle, Financial Times, etc, etc. BUY ImmuPharma, BUY ImmuPharma, BUY ImmuPharma, BUY ImmuPharma, BUY ImmuPharma | ballsac
01/3/2018 08:30 | It was the dip on HCM that made me switch from HOC Apad. Just a bit of a shame that dips in both occurred at the same time so could have been better! HOC has not performed as planned. | lauders
01/3/2018 08:27 | Interesting that the social media type platforms are coming to the market. I have a constant fear that the latest fad will become tomorrow's discarded newsprint that is used in the cat's basket. The founders will be sitting on their billions! Just a thought, but I have seen a few tech bubbles in my time. They have previously peaked in similar circumstances and values have then disappeared down the toilet. red | redartbmud
01/3/2018 08:27 | I see GDPR as only a timing/implementatio Excellent results from XPP which I need to spend some time going through. | valhamos
01/3/2018 08:22 | BTFD on HCM, Lauders. It looks to be an opportunity. On mine (FEVR/BOO/ABC/BVXP/T ABC is pulling strongly and BVXP is in a lull, waiting for Siemens news, I suppose (interims late this month). BOO is still flatlining (puzzled I am). FEVR FY mid March. They are all major holdings that I expect to keep. Excepting for something out of the blue, I think I know them well enough not to bother too much. The puppies are more fun 😊 The nature of my portfolio makes it reasonably independent of yoodleland gyrations and I don't have the angst of being a trader - more of a collector. apad😎 | apad
01/3/2018 08:09 | Not on anyone's radar. Bought 400 IMI trading stock @ £12.165p I have a holding. Xd 24.7p on 6 April. Might buy an overpriced cappucino out of the trade, with a bit of luck. red | redartbmud
01/3/2018 08:02 | Htg A basket case not so long ago. The management have done a phenomenal job, so far, to keep them afloat. The future further recovery will be interesting to watch. red | redartbmud
01/3/2018 07:47 | See my holdings/choices this year have not done nearly as well as my selections last year and for the record I have now sold most of my HOC and moved on to BVXP and HCM. The majority of my funds went into the latter and the rest topped up my small original BVXP holding. I hope March is a good year for both! HOC will come good one day when the markets inevitably don't continue going higher and higher and funds switch to "safer" investments. Are we nearly there? DOW seems to be going up and down in the hundreds on an almost daily basis. SDX - What can I say.... "Disappointing" so far! MSLH is holding its ground although showed a bit of weakness and ITV's results were taken negatively (special dividend axed) but weren't so bad. Sure many folk will be stuck inside during the snow cover watching TV (whether ITV is another matter!). | lauders
01/3/2018 07:39 | This confirms your point, H. community.blackbaud. "These Preferences are: “No response” – used when they have been contacted by your Organisation but have not actively responded. When a constituent has a Solicit Code with this Preference it is considered equivalent to an Opt-out. “Opt-out” “Opt-in” - used when they have actively informed your Organisation that they do want to be contacted via the Channel associated with the Solicit Code." Looks to be a potential nightmare - don't regulators and lawmakers luv em apad😎 | apad |
