APAD - i am not aware of no CGT on AIM shares outside ISA wrapper. I think CGT is applicable on all shares. Unless i have missed out something?

apad - admire your conviction to your 'buy and hold till the story changes' strategy - must be well pleased with fevr. stunning performance.

and yes no cgt on aim shares but then if they are isa'd no cgt either.

correction I am wrong -there is no inheritance tax on aim shares if they have been held for 2 years. there is cgt outside an isa wrapper.

I believe you folks in CGT-land don't pay it on AIM shares.

I wondered if this is the reason why companies like ABC don't move to the main market?

That's what happened a year or so ago, when I top-sliced FEVR on the morning of an announcement I thought was in the price, mod, only to see them rise inexorably in the next few days.

Didn't expect such a strong rise in FEVR. I think you need to test drive a TSLA to change your mind apad

IQE = The PP effect? Seems he is rather bullish on them after not being so bullish before the last RNS.

Although I am pleased on the whole, the initial market reaction to FEVR seems a little overdone to me.
However, as discussed above, I 'aint top-slicing.

Not at all upset mod - trouble with boards is you can't see the smile.

VCT still working its 'last' well and coping with the reduction in their electronics market.

FEVR
Free cash flow per share 16.5 cf 8.5
Free cash flow yield per share 0.95% cf 1.18% (could be argued as a measure of its 'overvalue' cf last year).
Divi more than doubled.
US not lit the afterburners yet and no mention of dark mixers :-(
Although, any other company would be trumpeting the rate of US growth.
I'm surprised that it's UK growth isn't slowing - I guess the market might like this.

PI, yes, KWS, G4M, BOO, BUR and FEVR have all had reasonable corrections, based on Director sales/placings, II sales etc etc.

G4M, BUR, and FEVR are all at previous share price levels now, so the recent lows were good points to add, top up etc

KWS and BOO will likely follow. I am trying to time my re-entry into BOO at the moment.

Mod, thanks. I am not that bothered at paying a higher price. As long as the price appreciates in a reasonable time frame after re-buying! FWIW I have noticed your posts years ago on CR's BB, and realised you have a great knack of seemingly being in precisely the right place at the right time! Still don't know how you do it. :-)

Well done bamboo, you have stuck to a strategy that works for you, and you seem to have fine tuned it to give you a good risk and reward. All I can say is that every time I sold KWS in my ISA, I ended up buying it at a higher price.

APAD, thanks for the reply and I hope I didn't upset you! I do understand your philosophy of not punishing success, and can see a lot of sense in this approach, particularly when there is nothing else you'd rather have instead.

I am completely chart led in my share dealings, which is more or less totally at odds with your story. Probably quite a good combination there, and I do have a list of respected posters, such as yourself, whose interest in a share might be the trigger for me to 'look' the chart.

Mod, I have been dealing most of the shares you mention for a few years now and have done very well. I can see that buy and hold would also produce good returns.

I just experience discomfort holding once gains exceed certain levels. A recent case is IQE where it had appreciated by nearly 50%. Despite top slicing a few times, I was glad to sell most of them at 110 ish last week, but did add a few back this morning.
