10/11/2016 15:48 | Red, I guess HILS is driven by Trump's infrastructure expenditures apart from being a quality company | modform
10/11/2016 08:39 | Lloyds flying - at last. Do Pendragon sell Ferrari's? Might nip down later. red | redartbmud
10/11/2016 08:37 | Water companies have been falling recently. Is OFWAT up to no good? I wonder. Overall utilities are still spending big: SSE Current debt ££8995.4 Is this their own version of Quantitative Easing? Will it all end in tears and interest payments? red | redartbmud
10/11/2016 08:22 | Yes, but sold too soon - AGAIN. I did expect some indigestion in the markets today after the euphoria of yesterday. At least the Tw. holding in my ISA has a few more shares in it and now £10.28 in cash, thank you. I have reduced the cost price of Klr to £6.13, protecting my capital and increasing the yield. Both would have been better for holding off 12 hours. Should have gone for more Gsk @£15.06, buy I expected Hillary to win. 20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing. Dazzled (for now) from Dunstable. red | redartbmud
10/11/2016 08:12 | Familiar theme, red :-( ABC good news after the tintins downgrade (ex div today I think) :-) I'm assuming that GSK will continue to dribble higher, so will hold on for £17+ to top slice a few. Still expecting dollar strength in December. Not sure what else to think at the moment. apad | apad
10/11/2016 07:59 | Always been a bit too expensive for me to buy. The Trump wave continues for those who have the courage to ride it. Took the Tw, off the table yesterday and top sliced a few Klr. red | redartbmud
10/11/2016 07:40 | YNGN (rns) really is a class act. apad | apad
09/11/2016 14:28 | Expect so. She will have her hands full, if she has grandchildren. red | redartbmud
09/11/2016 13:17 | Auntie? She must be a grandma at least. red | redartbmud
08/11/2016 19:44 | Tks MJ - it was probably me - it was/is for my mrs' pf but she's lost interest in the subject for now so a buy will have to wait. pete | petersinthemarket
08/11/2016 13:43 | Someone was interested in Jarvis Investment Management (JIM) as a dividend income share. They have just announced a 5p dividend making 17.5p or approx 5.75% for the year. | melton john
08/11/2016 12:11 | Ageed, but I am concerned about UK drag on house prices. Hey ho red | redartbmud
08/11/2016 11:42 | Might be a better bet, red. All the commentators are saying Hilarywitch is going to go for pharmas and drug pricing. Only earworm in town, so it'll act as a drag. apad | apad
08/11/2016 11:23 | Couldn't resist. Missed Gsk: Bought 2.5k Tw.@ £1.407 in Isa. Fingers crossed, NO, EVERYTHING crossed. red | redartbmud
08/11/2016 11:09 | uncertainty certainly seems to be affecting the mkt today. not surprising I suppose. should reverse once the yanks have got over their current excitement. I'm down about 6.5% overall compared to a fortnight ago. Looking at various pf charts recently I note again that the brexit dip is very marked indeed on several but so is the recovery back to trend a week or so after the vote results so I hope the usa effect turns out to be similar. pete | petersinthemarket
08/11/2016 09:22 | Yes good call. I might have to review my strategy for the future. Trends and sectors. red | redartbmud
08/11/2016 08:52 | GDWN reduction looks to have been well-timed. Pity I've still got some. Context, context, apad | apad
08/11/2016 07:59 | Will the euphoria of the US elections fizzle out? The y'oodles are so excitable over a leaf falling off a tree, I wonder how they cope with an election. Still keeping powder dry for now. Ffffffrrrroooozen from Friton! red | redartbmud
08/11/2016 07:32 | Another afternoon at the US races should power the US market with knock-on effects. TRI looks a good little company - don't know much about it. Clearly a customer follower - lump with Bodycote, etc. Further thought on FEVR's terse rns. The UK focus invites one to intuit that that the news on the FY will be about foreign expansion - in my opinion the US (particularly COLA) could become important. The share price tends to step-function on news, with (relatively) honest Tintins bemoaning their lost opportunity, but on the whole explaining why the shares are seriously overvalued. I bought a few at £10.57 yesterday morning (rummaged in the bottom of the divi bag), on the expectation that they would finish the day a little higher and this trend will continue until a new step is formed and the share price goes to sleep once again. Better timing with daughters' last Friday:-) Income this Friday will go to BVXP. Banks still bringing me out in a cold sweat, .gov must love PPI compensation - helicopter money! apad ps Beautiful, still dawn here in Jersey. | apad
07/11/2016 13:38 | Perhaps that was he last one. It is a cause that I cannot win. red | redartbmud
07/11/2016 11:59 | Stop that, red! I've kicked the TRAK habit and don't want a relapse :-) apad | apad
07/11/2016 07:59 | APAD Replaced and oiled for action. Fevr Long may it continue for those invested. Placed a shot across the bows of the embalmed on the Soco board. Great fun - I needed cheering up. red | redartbmud
07/11/2016 07:03 | FEVR Given the strong sales in the period to date, the Board anticipates that the results for the full year ending 31 December 2016 will be materially ahead of current market expectations. apad | apad |
