What does one make of those large pre-open trades? ~2M at or around 120p and one as high as 124.496p

pob-it's only the share price that goes down! Whatever it was that drove the share price up seems to be doing an equally good job in the other direction.

pob-when I do an on-line search for Aspirair in Mail on-line I only get three matches, the most recent in 2007. If you follow popper joe's link you will see mentioned in the article that Peter Virley is the MD of Vectura, he was many, many years ago.

nw99-JPM cut target down to 170 early November. Ever since Advair targets and recommendations have been cut by almost everyone. I thought there were 4 possible reasons for the recent rise, one being news on Advair but no real movement on Hikma so I rule that one out. New Year recommendations were another possibility but I haven't seen any and the rise seems too dramatic given all the downgrades earlier in the year. A trading update is due next Friday but it's hard to believe that news would have leaked enough to cause such a dramatic rise. The last reason was someone building a stake ahead of making a bid which seems to be by far the most likely but I haven't seen anything that might identify the potential bidder. As I have said before, I would be happy with 160p, I can't see a bid being much higher. I do hope there is a bid as I have become too attached to the share and am reluctant to sell even when it seems the sensible thing to do.

In my opinion their is no chance this company will get taken out at less than £2.25 .Thats if a takeover is in the offering anyway.It could be just seeing value at these crazy levels plus the news from hikma ref just the one remaining issue to be sorted with fda

Eastbourne is about right we would be lucky to get north of 170p hopefully we can get more value in the longterm.

Pharma is generally undervalued and out of favour atm so I have a price of 180 on Vectura for a bid and my personal sell price.
