More like the divvy than I expected. So on 6 cents per share we are looking at 4.5p at 1:1.30 conversion which on a 10,000 shares is what, £450 or so? Anyone care to double check my maths? TIA Topicel

So here we are, tenth month of the year and flat for the year, no gains at all except a paltry dividend for those with significant exposure here - must be madder than me - like Adler, ahem... Some might call this an extended double bottom in chart land but, as we well know, charting is no science and certainly not on AIM. If we are bottomed out then potentially we can climb again assuming the BoD can make progress on drilling, get the reserves report to show this can make great money because of the dividend for decades, and maybe, just maybe, we pick something up that is value enhancing... Obviously PIs are the last to know plans, despite Calm's best efforts in arranging meetings. Which reminds me, can you ask for a ETA for this Competent Person's Report. There must have been plenty of existing info to base it on and they've had two months already. By end of 2017 should be achievable and reaffirmed I would hope? Topicel

Chav,my understanding is that for individual private shareholders a Div.cheque in US$ will be sent to your private address by post as will the AGM details together with Proxy voting form.A different approach will apply if you hold in certificated form.

Thanks Steve73 for the detailed reply. I am one of those poor sods with Barclays. They've created - or are trying to - a platform called Smart Investor that enables investments like shares, ISAa etc to be viewed and accessed alongside personal banking. Great idea which launched 16 th August and still in a right mess with it. They have changed my surname, invented a new name for myself and my partner, and we were unable to access and trade for days on two occasions. Live in France and the chat and email facilities never 'live' and phoning and discussing all over again and again is a costly pain! So they are making money on that, the clients can't trade - not all bad with UEN! - and now will make dosh from holding our divvies in their interest bearing accounts. Minimal as they are it just grates! Oh, and a dollar conversion charge too then?! Yippee for the banksters. Anyway, our divvy is payable to those on the books Nov 2 and it looks like plenty fancy some of it....a decent and sustained communications event to back up the new blood is what we need now. Topicel

If you stay there long enough we might get back to the share price at consolidation time :-)

Surely something positive should come before the Ex-Dividend date. The proposed dividend relative to the current share price is good.

Buying appears to have no bearing on this share,as yesterday a decent buy and no movement north.

If your holding is in a nominee account then the cheque will be written to them.. They will then cash it and credit the proceeds to your account. No different to any other dividend IMO, although they are more likely to have received others as an e-payment. Some brokers credit the equivalent to your account same day, for others it can take a few days longer, (or AIUI, clients of Barclays are currently experiencing delays of many weeks under their new platform). Divi represents a 7% yield at present price... Not bad, unless the share price drops by the same ex-D, although of course the share price seem to vary by +/-100% (sic) anyway for no obvious reason. btw, most UK GBP accounts will credit a $ cheque (or any currency), although it may take upto a few months to clear, and there may be a nominal charge. If they refuse, the offer to close your account usually changes their mind.

Guys, the RNS is quite clear. They will send a dollar cheque in the post. If you get it sent on via your broker you'll be lucky. They ain't a mailing service. It is not an option for most to receive a dollar cheque as it can't be cashed...without a dollar account. So what gives? Topicel

But why did you predict it Martyn? Charting or just a feeling? Chin up, there is always next year! We hope... Topicel

Some internet brokers will credit a $ divi to a $ account and from there you can exchange it to GBP whenever you want, or can use it to buy US listed shares.

Top i trade/invest through a broker and all my shares in a nominee account,so from my point of view they will convert to sterling at the time.A dividend is welcome but no valid amount of free shares available for II's.All a bit stale atm.

im good tone, suffering in some and better in others, can see the old guard are still here with a few additions, that's the puzzling bit tone having loans from Petroco then giving a dividend, don't make much sense hopefully the share price will turn around by then, a divi on a rising share price is very welcome

Question guys. The payment of US dollar cheques will be problematic for many holders I'm sure...unless I'm misunderstanding something. There seems little option, and who wants dollars these days anyway. Lol. And most here, perhaps, are owners through a stockbroker I'd imagine, and they're gonna love receiving cheques marked for individuals at the nominee address of HL or BSL or whoever you're with... Seems almost money laundering now! Welcome to Russian company investing... Any thoughts? Topicel

The divi is supposedly to attract insti interest. But we are still AIM and UEN needs to also present a growth story IMHO. Which means good 2P numbers in the Competent Persons Report on our total reserves, plus news of more barrels per day and maybe acquisitions. Without that lot the suspicion has to be Adler are indeed just making themselves another nice income stream while doing nothing for average holders so why would anyone else buy in? For us lot, the divvy is welcome but hardly rewards us! Not after the capital depreciation since May. If you're reading this Calm, maybe you could ask again the rationale behind the dividend in view of the capital depreciation cost! I mean, who is really benefitting....? Topicel
