I'm afraid the lottery would have netted you better returns that UEN. Good luck mate ?

Haha Neft, moaning on BBs is the prerogative of all bitter investors when they know they have backed a 3-legged horse! Not that I do that much moaning on BBs these days. The money I invested in UEN when it had decent prospects in Dulisma is largely gone of course and I do get that the holding company is largely a charade, but it is useful to at least poke a stick at it on occasions - might get a bit back at some point to put on the lottery.......

Armagosa, you are wrong. The management of the holding company that you have thrown your money at (they are not an oil company) are simply looking after themselves as any Russian business. The fact that they are listed on the LSE is simply a throwback from the old days when the company was run by ambitious expats trying to be oligarchs and trying to grow the company and attract overseas investment. I'm afraid it will never change and if you don't see that you will still be moaning on this BB in 20 years time

Don't you sometimes hate being right. This was on the cards. Let's hope this had already been adjusted down beforehand.

Haven't 'they' been adjusting the price for months? Sad to hear nobody else is going along Calm. If I wasn't in south-west France I'd certainly have joined you whatever it took. Good luck with the meeting. And approaching a calendar year low for them to explain in a rising oil market. They must have some explanation for their inability to encourage investment here... Topicel

Indeed Calm, it is. Good luck tomorrow. I guess you have some very searching questions. Whether you will be satisfied with their answers is another matter. It is easy for them to sound bullish and update but as many of us long term holders, it is another matter for the market to take them seriously. The reasons given behind consolidation have at the moment completely backfired. Whilst the divi is welcome, it really only appeases one man, namely Schvets. It's a shame if the Co are so awash with cash to propose a divi, that we need this persistent temporary loan from Petraco. Many question but alas I very much doubt you will truly be given anything other than fluff, puff and flannel. Good luck anyway at least you should be commended for your efforts.

Maybe ask the Allenby rep why there has been no RNS stating they know of no reason for the drop in the share price over the last month or two...

Well that is another question for Calm to ask at the meeting. Why is the evidence suggesting plenty of buying yet the share price barely budges? Does the company monitor these things or better yet, know what is happening to the market made in their shares to so distort the trades/valuation? Even better, if an Allenby rep is there again, ask what they can find out or know? I would imagine the buying today is people making a last minute grab for some cheap shares giving a juicy yield with little downside. Stranger things have happened but just maybe the share will start moving up again once it goes ex-div...assuming the vote is carried! What time is the meeting again Calm? Have you company? Bon chance. Topicel

And we don't even get a spike with 11-plus million coming into the coffers, less the daft 3 mill we have to give Petraco plus interest. Do be form with them Calm! Ask why the company issues RNSs that do not punch facts and figures to the company's advantage for once? Please ask if they have even an idea of what they believe their assets, and UEN as a going concern, should be valued at? Ask if they care that they have overseen a collapse in the share price since all the good ambitions and work at the turn of the year? Ask, please, if they consider they have done a good job for all shareholders in 2017 in the face of a rising oil price? Topicel
