basem - the div will be paid in $. It'll be up to your broker to convert if for you on the day, or if they offer a $ account you'll be able to leave it in that and convert it whenever you want.

The large spread is down to the consolidation and the low number of shares now in issue, nothing else. Nice to see this moving in the other direction for all the LTH.

Yes amargosa,its creating a false picture with this company,perhaps one day it will change when this goes into FTSE 250!! one day.

Perhaps Chav, but I don't really buy the manipulation thing; big spreads tend to be associated with very high-risk companies (here today, gone tomorrow). Thing is, UEN has been around or 13 years in its current form and can somehow afford to pay a dividend, yet it's still afforded a do-not-touch moniker by the MMs. At what point is this going to change?

Regarding the divi, is it too early to say at what exchange rate will be used. Currently $1.31. Not sure if it's worked out on payday itself. ?

24.78% increase in share price but that spread is crook. Average buy/sell is 68.5p - 74p not what is showing so why have it? One of you has said you can't buy yet it would seem mm's don't want to buy or they would offer a better price. Manipulation again.

djmoggy - many thanks for filling us in on some more of the operational details; quite bizarre that such info is not released to the market at the appropriate time to offset the impact of bad news.

Lets just hope they don't contract KNGF to drill the next well in Komi - I don't think I could stomach another bout of Rovneiko contact with UEN.
