26/9/2014 16:58 | Some extremely lumpy trades going through and on a lowly 8x who can blame them.
Looking forward to Interims next week.

Yup that seems to be about right (118% uplift to current price). I guess we'll be able to crunch the numbers more accurately in a few days once the Interims are released.

25/9/2014 12:48 | Universe Group stock had its “corporateR21; rating reissued by investment analysts at FinnCap in a note issued to investors on Thursday. They currently have a 12p price target on the stock. | loganair
25/9/2014 06:30 | A nice contract for HTEC, 650 Valero (Texaco branded) sites.

Somewhat disappointing that it only warrants a publicity style RNSNON rather than a full regulatory one but encouraging none the less. | boadicea
25/9/2014 06:29 | Excellent news re the Valero / Texaco contract! Here's to positive Interim results in a few days.spud | spud
15/9/2014 15:29 | Looks as if we've cleared the overhang... ;-)

07/9/2014 16:24 | Either way, Downing has been relentless in their accumulation, which gives a deal of comfort to holders.Circa 10x is still a lowly rating with plenty of upside IMO.spud | spud
05/9/2014 20:38 | Certainly, Downing ONE VCT plc is one of the notified holders, but I doubt they were the acquiror of the latest purchase as I am under the impression that VCT's can only subscribe for newly issued shares direct from the company and not buy "second hand" shares in the market. This measure is designed to facilitate the raising of new capital for young or expanding small companies.
Hence I assume that the purchase was probably for the PFS Downing Active Management Fund.
(Those in Client funds managed by Downing LLP may be constituents of personal EIS portfolios.) | boadicea
04/9/2014 13:50 | It's a VCT, so they'll be holding for some time. | bobby.ifa
04/9/2014 13:37 | It would be interesting to know whether Downing are purchasing as a med/long term investment or whether they expect to be able to trade a large block to a potential acquiror. | boadicea
04/9/2014 13:27 | Downing now @ 20% with an increase of 2.3m shares.

03/9/2014 15:14 | All three trades are sells with the overhang slowly unwinding. Once this is exhausted then we should see a fairly rapid upswing in the price to circa 10p (provided the results are positive).

Edit - It appears that the 2.3m was in fact a Downing buy. | spud
03/9/2014 12:33 | Further big trades today.I know the company is expecting to land some substantial contracts later this year.Perhaps certain high profile investors are setting their stalls out accordingly.Any views? | thorne3
27/8/2014 19:27 | I see Downing is putting a floor under the price, taking another 600k & cornering over 19% of issued stock.spud | spud
12/8/2014 13:38 | Looks as if we have a distressed seller dumping yesterday @ 4.85 and today @ 4.5
Edit: I'll be keeping my powder dry for when the seller has dropped all his stock - He must be desperate..

05/8/2014 08:58 | Spud - thank you for replying to my question yesterday (posted elsewhere). UNG fits my investment criteria and I have bought a modicum this morning. | baxter99
18/7/2014 09:40 | I suspect that the next significant buy will force the price. Looking good here.spud | spud
16/7/2014 15:29 | A modest number of small sells, more than mopped up by two significant buys recently - a £15k buy on Friday and another £4k today.
Looks like stale small punters drifting away and more objective buyers moving in. I take it as a message to sit tight and be patient.
I suspect that anyone wanting a significant number will find they soon move the price against them. | boadicea
11/7/2014 10:50 | Yes certainly looking well placed for a leg up now that the selling appears to have largely dried up.spud | spud
10/7/2014 09:02 | davidosh-The board, the usual professionals and about five others including me.
Interestingly I put a proposal to the board to consolidate the shares on a 1 for 10 basis with a view to attempting to reduce the wide spread that investors are presented with when dealing.Small holders with less than say £50 worth of stock would be paid out in cash. There was more than a bit of sympathy for this proposal but I think more investors will need to state their case before any decision is made. | thorne3

09/7/2014 17:38 | Market is stable and quiet with no pressing sellers. Forming a firm base for a move on next news which could be significant in such a thin market if is good.
Those likely to be interested might well consider adding gently now to be ahead of any rush. | boadicea
09/7/2014 14:44 | Thorne3.....thanks as unfortunately I had to miss the Agm as there were too many on that day. I think there were five that morning from memory. How many were at the Agm ? | davidosh
09/7/2014 14:34 | I attended the AGM recently and was impressed by what I heard.Jeremy Lewis gave a very good presentation which highlighted the very significant amount of development work that is ongoing with respect to new business both national and international. Some contracts are expected to be signed before the year end.In summary my own gut feeling is that this year will be one of consolidation and investment prior to a period of considerable growth.A little more patience is required therefore before the UNG share price cranks up again.Further acquisitions continue to be appraised but most of these continue to be rejected either because they are too expensive or simply do not fit.I continue to be satisfied that UNG will be a very much larger business in 5 years time. | thorne3
03/7/2014 21:37 | Solid buying today. Let's see if we can garner some support to get us above 6p as a first step.spud | spud
