11/2/2021 15:25 | From what I’ve read on Twitter: Wressle has a EA variation permit since 2017 . Just waiting on the EA and OGA to ok an HRP permit. That will drop any day if it hasn't already. The operator is not going to announce it as Wealdy and his mates will be outside the gates in a Nanno second #Wressle. (Ref. Dave the Drill) | mittenator
11/2/2021 15:13 | Hi CURRY OASTY. I don't think a proppant squeeze has been conducted at Wressle until now because, as far as I can tell, it wasn't part of the original test programme in 2014, I'm also assuming that, although Egdon has presumably received North Lincs Council's planning consent for this, they may still be waiting on the EA and the OGA for their consents to the proppant squeeze. We know that the EA don't exactly move at the speed of light, so it could still be a few weeks away. | greypanther2
11/2/2021 14:58 | "are not representative of the flow rates that could be attained from this interval. Reservoir engineering analyses of the well test pressure and production data indicates that initial production rates in excess of 500bopd could be anticipated if the effects of the "Skin" can be successfully countered." so it looks like reservoir engineers would expect in excess of 500bopd, once the skin effect has been overcome... I still see no comment on proppant squeeze at that time, but will read further. It may be that if the skin effect is overcome, and proppant squeeze is done successfully, then surely based on reservoir engineers comments at the time you could expect significantly more than 500? any thoughts GP? | currypasty
11/2/2021 14:55 | there is this though.. (22/10/15) As previously reported, flow rates from the Ashover Grit measured in the initial testing phase (80 barrels of oil per day ("bopd")) were affected by localised near well bore formation damage (high "Skin" factor) and so are not representative of the flow rates that could be attained from this interval. Reservoir engineering analyses of the well test pressure and production data indicates that initial production rates in excess of 500bopd could be anticipated if the effects of the "Skin" can be successfully countered. It is therefore the JV's intention that plans for the development of Wressle will include a comprehensive suite of operations and procedures, designed to mitigate the impact of the "Skin" on production rates, which form part of the initial workover programme for the well to prepare it for long-term production. | currypasty
11/2/2021 14:42 | did they do proppant squeeze in 2014? edit, I cant see any reference to proppant squeeze on the Ashover grits | currypasty
11/2/2021 14:38 | Hi Karina. Where did you see that 1,100 bopd production potential for Wressle? For me, 1,100 bopd seems way too high if you remember that the Ashover Grit (the only reservoir currently with consent to produce at Wressle) flowed only 80 bopd on test. If it's currently free-flowing, and still on test production, it could well be a bit better than that by now. But IMO it will take some time, and the proppant squeeze too, to get us to anywhere near 500 bopd, let alone 1,100 bopd. If you look back to 2014, you can see that all three of Wressle's oil-bearing zones combined produced just over 700 boepd on test. About half of that 700 boepd was gas, which isn't part of their currently approved development plan. | greypanther2
11/2/2021 12:25 | Thanks for the update, time will tell ,for the record I believe they will flip Wressle. | dublinireland123
11/2/2021 10:36 | Well done Dublin , what a catch you are for this board. | bionicdog
11/2/2021 10:25 | No sale rumours on Wressle. currently planning restricted to 500 bopd, capable of 1100 and with 40% to UJO I am sure its a "keeper" for DB According to a well known insider, the sale of WN is under talks as I type.... | karina
11/2/2021 10:24 | Lots of things are rumoured, that's exactly it rumours. At this stage the focus is on getting Wressle to produce 500 bopd, then looking to get that increased. At West Newton, there are rumours that the project could be sold. If you watch the Reabold Q&A they are clearly 'courting' potential suitors, but are not being drawn further. My personal opinion, and nothing else, is that everything is for sale at the right price, especially if punters are not attributing fair value to projects. | currypasty
11/2/2021 10:18 | My mistake,however a sale of Wressle is rumored ? | dublinireland123
11/2/2021 09:53 | I think you are confusing WN with Wressle...... | karina
11/2/2021 09:50 | Indeed,potential purchasers? | dublinireland123
11/2/2021 09:23 | None. Nobody ever said they were that I know of. It's not big enough for a major. | bionicdog
11/2/2021 09:16 | Fair comment, perhaps you might tell us which of (if any) of the majors are interested in Wressle?? | dublinireland123
11/2/2021 08:57 | Any chance that we can return this board to something approaching sanity today? | bionicdog
11/2/2021 08:55 | UJO definitely a trading share ,buy on the dips and offload on the spike ,heading back 150-160 tomorrow and definitely a buy as punters await the next episode of jam tomorrow, probably the end of this month when the share price should be north of 190 -200 and decent return for those buying tomorrow @0.160! | dublinireland123
