That's funding sorted and at 5p which is reasonable. I note that they reduced the price of the warrants to 6p which is also reasonable imho. Also good that Legal and General are still interested in buying stock. Plenty of good news regarding deals over the next few weeks/months so expect a steady rise in the share price from here.

I know you from the VIY thread and would be very interested in your views on TYR. I can't believe the market cap considering the quality of the products. Now they have the financial issues out of the way, I can only see explosive growth from here.

TIA

Here we go.Amvac take a stake through a placing at 5p. They get just under 30% of the company and we get the chance to add to holdings. It blocks a takeover from anyone else...except them ofcourse. Everyone is a winner.it now makes the growth story very credible.

"TyraTech (LON:TYR) shares made a barnstorming start to the week when the company unveiled the UK registration of its new insect repellent product NO-SKEETO!, having already been given the go-ahead in the US and Germany.

More European registrations are expected to follow as the company evaluates commercial and retail partners for the product.

The stock opened 19% higher on the news."

19% higher? I must of missed it.

LOL, someone had to pay well over for 10k shares, i don't have level 2, and never really that interested in MM games as all essentially short term but as soon as this one experiences institutional demand, it should blow

Putting the building blocks in place but (imo) will not see any share price traction untill we start to generat volume sales - market imo (as am I) worried that may need to raise further funds before volume sales are achieved - but looking promising.

Good news about the registration of the insect repellent in the UK. I for one will be getting some!

Hopefully this will get the price moving.

Hope this helps. When I have purchased restricted shares, I have had to sign a letter stating that I will not sell this to a US resident. That means extra costs to the broker - sending letters etc. If the broker is only charging very small commission, one can see why they might restrict purchases to the free trading shares even when these are a very small proportion of the total issued.

However, as Barrie B says there may be some who do - Natwest through TD.

Luckily, I have only got my holding on placings through a full service broker. Placings are always of restricted shares.

Hi techair

I used Natwest Brokerline who are I believe provided the service by TD Direct but that does need confirmation. You need a broker who does not limit your choice to Crest settlement shares and a lot of international smaller companies fall into that catagory!

So far i have always found Brokerline very reliable but they are not the cheapest.

Very nice summary Barrie.
Do you mind me asking which broker you use just in case there are potential investors reading that use a broker that will not deal in REG S stock please? (I know you offered this but just wanted to follow it up)
Thanks

BarrieB, I agree that the new JV was a great move. Anyone looking to invest should research our new partner AMVAC, they are quality.
We have also just got Bruno Jactel as CEO. The guy was chief marketing officer for a US$2.6 billion revenue generating subsidiary of the Sanofi Group.

Looking back at results they expect
to release a personal insect repellent,
commercialization of the headlice product in UK and US,
appointment of an animal health partner for their flea and tick solutions
and conclude an agreement for a floor and surface repellent.
All in the first half of 2013, so good news can't be far away.

Products are close to market now so R&D costs have reduced and hopefully it won't be too long before we are in profit. We still don't know what % of the joint venture we own but it is a minority so AMVAC will be paying more of any new R&D costs and with the annual license payments, it's almost a free carry. Also we don't know how much the upfront licensing fee is but we do know it's significant?

Only downside seems to be lack of cash. 'Substantial downpayment' from AMVAC is unlikely to go far with all the R&D the co has on hand. Partners may have the co over a barrel - see what happened to PIM - ended up under control of its best customer despite having products just as good as TYR

Hi encarter

Finished my research over the weekend, coming to a very positive conclusion and after filling in the W-8 BEN form three times before it was accepted I finally took an initial position yesterday!!!

Also managed to buy the regs so cheapest and easiest way in.

There is no doubt that they are on the cusp of much greater things but the W-8 BEN form fiasco is bound to put the average investor off so it may be left to the more serious ones.

If any prospective investors get stuck just leave a note on here or send me a message as it seems very simple on the surface. However if one part is not filled in correctly it is just put in a query bin and nothing more happens to it until you chase up. They then tell you it was not filled in correctly but will not tell you how to correct it! They say they are not allowed to!! I expect it is because I am not an advisory client but it seems a bit silly to me.

If this BOD cant grow this company with their discovery platform, products, experience and contacts then no one can! It looks to have 'major growth company' stamped all over it especially now they will be involved with safe and directional agricultural pest control. This new JV looks to be transformational and the level of news more recently has stepped up a gear and they seem to be keen on keeping the markets well informed.

We are definatly under the radar at the moment but may become more noticed when the new / initial sales figures are released or we have news of developments of a new JV or perhaps a Kraft update / product launch.

MMs seem intent on walking this down but for me that just makes it more attractive to a predator. £6m ish raised over the last few years and a market cap of less......
