So now these new laws to regulate the oil industry will take 90 days to pass in parliament. Two or three weeks ago it was going to take three momths though it has only taken them several years to reach this point. Ah isn't it wonderful how so called lawyers can stretch weeks into months....and beyond!

turnover per share means nothing

it cannot/does not support your argument in any way

Phillis:
just trying to argue that the current share price does not look overstretched.
Such a massive rise in forecasted production (and revenue) indicates how valuable Tullow will become in the next few years. Turnover per share (turnover divided by number of shares) merely emphasises what this can mean for existing shareholders and reflects how cheap the company's current valuation is in terms of prospective cash flow and profits.

This makes Tullow enormously attractive to both the oil majors and national oil companies.

yes... if it were to be the Chinese or any other NOC that buys TLW, it will be the security of oil supply they are interested in, not the potential for cash generation.

you,ll need to educate me re turnover per share

how is this relevant?

According to Citwire, Tullow is forecast to increase production to 200,000 barrels per day by 2015. If we assume that oil prices will be $120 by then (conservative, if you accept that we are approaching peak oil), then Tullow's annual turnover will be £5.47 billion based on current exchange rates. That works out at just over £6 per share, 5 times the latest figure. That should produce a massively increased cash flow and make the current share price look cheap ..... if it lives to see the day.
