surge at end of day.... less the 3% off ATH now with a resolution to the problem that hammered the share price still to be announced... and more drilling news expected soon.

Sure fire hold.... and a pretty good buy if you accept the broker predictions.

as reported here on a couple of occasions, the views and votes of the 'lawmakers' are not binding on the President. Not a democracy, I know, but that's how it works in UG. I assume the Musaveni feels obliged to at least pay lip service to what they say in order to give an impression of democratic process but I think the agreement will be signed very soon. As does the sp, by the looks of things.

IT seems it all depends on who has the most power...the President or the lawmakers in parliament. Can the President be outvoted? Nothing would surprise me any more with these poceedings.

Phillis. Thanks for that little bit of information of which I was not aware. As they say you learn something every day. I was,of course, commenting generally on mms and the fact that they make money irrespective of whether share prices go up or down. OT I know but do mms ever go bankrupt?

With all this suing going on the lawyers and barristers are certainly on to a winner
even if no one else is. Simmilar to the mms I suppose.

To think I was commenting tongue in cheek when I forecast a few months ago that the deal would possibly be completed by Xmas..but which Xmas.
The question now is which will be decided first...the tax arbitration or completion of the Tlw/Cnooc/Total deal. I wonder if Tlw now rue the decision to buy out Hoil rather than let Eni take over or would Eni have run into the same problems. Hypothetical I know.

They want the oil revenue but every little bit of progress/moving forward is tainted with more crazy accusations to prevent everyone from getting on with the job of pumping the oil out.

I don't think many investors realise the importance of receiving the funds from the farmdown-has so much significance to the speed of growth of this company.
