Arrrrr mariooo.
Dow looking at 700 down at open. They also seem to be anticipating the biggest fall in history prior to close from what some are saying. No one appears to want to hold over the weekend.
10 year now at 0.7.

Well the only significant crashes on Wall Street that I know of is when inflation has taken off and interest rates go rushing up to counter it. That is not the case here in fact we have quite the reverse happening on interest rates.

The virus will disappear and its the when that will determine who goes bust. Oil equities usually recover before oil when the time is right.

Why are you so infatuated with HSBC, are you an employee?
If it fails it fails.

Why so?

HSBC is the biggest global bank. If it fails, we are ALL in a whole world of trouble.

Deutsche is bust. It's off balance sheet derivative exposure is massive - and it is on the wrong side of so many trades...

Deutsche Bank Reports Huge Loss for 2019
The German lender said its bottom line suffered because it paid severance to fired workers and wrote down the value of troubled assets.

Deutsche Bank staff sent home as 18,000 job cuts begin - as it happened

But it will get a Govt bail out.
How will such be financed?

Any bank requiring a govt bail out is essentially bust.

If Barclays, Lloyds, RBS go bust the damage wont be as significant. It wont collapse the global financial system - but HSB going bust will.

Why dont you agree?

I disagree, the governments have supported the rich for years haven’t they, and they have just got richer?
Let it reset.

Sbb1x, you’re getting me down by the negativity on what is a good day.
2020 was the year of the recession, doesn’t really matter how it comes about. The worst it is the better for others. Let’s face it a recession or Great Depression should have happened years ago but the market has been propped up by low interest rates and QE. Time that this stopped and reset button pressed. Let the interest rates rise!!

Virus accelerated the process. But the fact was already set

from Exxon report today,

In Guyana, the estimated gross recoverable resource from the Stabroek Block increased to more than 8 billion oil-equivalent barrels, in part as a result of six additional discoveries made in 2019 and 2020.
