Rights Issue will be below 30p imo. Best to wait until then before buying for the medium term.

This will stay below 40p (will go below 40p tomorrow for sure) until the rights issue. Would be better to get it out of the way sooner rather than later.

Just took a look at HUR which has also taken a hammering in recent times. Valued at £625m for 17k bopd. TLW is £640m for £70k bopd. Certainly an overly simplistic comparison but indicates TLW is currently very undervalued imo

Tullow will be an interesting test of the Warren Buffett adage:

"When a manager with a reputation for brilliance tackles a business with a reputation for bad economics, it is the reputation of the business that remains intact."

("Bad economics" here summarised as high debt vs long-term speculative projects in a volatile commodity, and still paying out dividends.)

Key question being whether a scenario exists, to get out this corner, at what odds.
