11/2/2016 19:11 | Oil price will recover to $100 unless there is further climate action, says BP Feb 11, 2016 Annual report claims fossil fuels will still be providing 80 per cent of world's energy needs in 2035 without a policy shift Spencer Platt/Getty Images Page 1 of 41Oil price will recover to $100 unless there is further climate action, says BP A global glut of oil will eventually be eroded by steadily increasing demand and its price will spike to $100 a barrel a number of times over the coming years, according to oil major BP. SEE RELATED Gold price surges above $1,200 after latest markets rout In its annual Energy Outlook report, the company presents a "base" case scenario that would mean fossil fuels, including oil, still accounting for 80 per cent of all the world's energy needs by 2035. As demand will have grown substantially, especially in emerging economies, this will require huge new extraction of oil and prices will be much higher than current levels. Spencer Dale, BP’s chief economist, told The Guardian the oil price would return again - and more than once - to the $100 threshold from which it tumbled in its current protracted slump. | rubberbullets | |

11/2/2016 12:59 | cat for some is already at 15 with heavy stuff, but at this level or just below we will have a much better idea on what actually is good to sell and refine without mixing. I suspect there is a lot of the rubbish stuff in USA and cannot be used unless taken to Asia. I suspect we will see more discount on heavy stuff and poo (the usable stuff) hold and move on from here. soon people will have to pay to have it removed and because the some is a bio-product of production this will slow if not stop production. on the positive side if you buy WTI today you can only loose $26 if you short well how knows. as oil goes down the 100$ a barrel come closer. better lower now than later and for longer, just like going to the dentist. | jovi1 |
