16/12/2002 05:30 | TheCleaner, I bought some TRN last week because the market has not assigned any value whatsover to the cash pile. As for your question on others worth buying , well DTK are very similar. At 50p, with 35p of cash, this profitable tech business is effectively on a tiny PE. Pants. | hugepants
15/12/2002 23:52 | Thanks Cleaner, I had a look on the website; I did not deserve such a polite reply. Thought it was something different. | captain swing
15/12/2002 23:12 | Captain Swing TRN are money brokers. I advise that you look at most recent results to get an idea. Also visit trio or martin brokers website. Martin brokers is the main trading subsidiary of trio | thecleaner

14/12/2002 17:06 | Might want to think twice about that, daniel. There's a thread on here epic HOOD which says why. | stewjames

14/12/2002 16:58 | I use Barclays Online. They're adequate, but I work and ain't trading like you guys. I went for them for the comfort factor. Hey Davron, just have a look at the CSV thread. | farsight
14/12/2002 11:25 | My Broker is Lloyds TSB Stockbrokers, superb, normally get buy price better than indicated, instant answer for most shares and if too big a buy for immediate availability, pass it straight to trading floor. Fee £18-00 for regular trading account. Paper work excellent. Special phone number for reg traders so no delays. I have no other connection with them so not ramping. | davron8
14/12/2002 08:54 | I use myBroker.com for on line trading. More expensive than most, but the service is first class. | kenbachelor
13/12/2002 19:37 | Don't use imiweb either. I'm moving to schwab. A bit pricier but much better service | thecleaner
13/12/2002 10:58 | Don't worry about the divi guys, lots of capital growth to come !! Toff | toffeman
13/12/2002 10:33 | Ken. I recd my contract for buy on 11th and it shows ex div. Missed div by a day I guess. | davron8
13/12/2002 10:21 | Farsight said last night csv would open up today........nuff said, absolute respect to far! | panagos
13/12/2002 10:09 | I bought yesterday and have just received the contract note xd. | bluemerle
13/12/2002 09:27 | Toffeman - That is what I said, but there still seems to be confusion. I bought on 11th and don't expect to receive the special dividend. Having bought on line, the money was taken from my account withing 2 minutes so presumably I own them from that moment. We shall see! | kenbachelor
13/12/2002 09:25 | Why all the fuss about the div - its only .25p which is about 1% after tax. The share price fell by twice the div yesterday. Still waiting for someone to take them out - they won't get them for anything remotely like the current s p of 19 though. I would think after seeing the results that we are now looking at higher than the 28p mooted in the summer, perhaps 40. | orvis
13/12/2002 08:56 | Panagos, tell the guys about CSV, and what I said last night. They don't believe. I'm off to work. | farsight
13/12/2002 08:08 | Good morning all. I am off to do some scrubbing now. Should be able to make another tenner to pump into trio. Wish you all luck. | thecleaner
12/12/2002 22:17 | re the div I spoke to tdwaterhouse on tuesday about being on the reg for the 13th they informed that if i bought any day before the 13th i would qualify to be on the reg, as long as you own the stock on the morning of the 13th this i was assured of, so if it's not true I shall be asking for the dividend from them. I am happy to tuck this away for 6 months as i cant see how this can justify it's current valuation! We shall see. | edbassett
12/12/2002 21:54 | Panagos: I can sit at traffic lights and take my foot off the brake before they change. It's gotten me flashed a few times. Try this one: Think of a number between 1 and 100 It's.... 37 I was right wasn't I? | farsight
12/12/2002 21:46 | Ken, re divi's, open up the tab here 'fundamentals' you will see in the divi's section the following details. Announcement Date 2/12/02, special 0.25p ex d 11/12 record date 13/12 pay't 15/1. Also final div announced 2/12,0.5p ex d 22/1/03 record date 24/1/03 pay't 21/2/03. There's also some nicely coloured graphs (yellow, loads of cash) and other lovely figures to wet your appetite. Santa has indeed arrived early !! Toff | toffeman
12/12/2002 20:33 | ..and if you subtract the £11m cash from both sides of the equation, the p/e is 0.8... TRN has such excellent fundamentals that I would urge everbody to tell their friends and contacts about this gift from our friendly market makers. They want us to make lots of money and so promote a healthy stock market, to which end they have messed around with the spread, reduced the NMS, and pushed the price down on zip sells in order to provide us with this excellent value for an extended period. As if. Did you notice that the market makers put the price up the morning after I posted recommendations for TRN on various boards? They read ADVFN, and assess sentiment when deciding the price. Hey, MMs: Sorry guys, this one is going to snowball on you and you're going to break in the opposite direction. I can see the future, and I can see 40p. Get it over with before it costs you. | farsight |
