Anyone aware that TP are undergoing a massive Store upgrade programme?
sorry if this has been mentioned before.

Edit for 'upgrade' replace with 'Building'
New stores are being built on existing premises with the intention of leasing of part of the land to others.

The difference is that Next is a fashion retailer which has been very much at the top of its game for several years and priced accordingly, but vulnerable to any downturn in consumer spending, whilst TPK has substantial wholesale exposure (still underpinned by strong housing market) and seems to be integrating its retail arm - Wickes - rather better than the market had dared to hope. There's charts, and there's real life!

Could be a triple top situation.

Very similar chart to Next before a 200 plus points drop.

The shorters have gone very quiet here. What does it cost to be short from 1712 to 1850?

Unless it breaks 1700 another time, I think it's not wrong to short it. That's one year resistence. I already did now putting stop loss at 1720.

Jaafar1,
Depends whether you're a daytrader or investor, I suppose. I paid 587 at the end of 2000, so today's +34 seems quite a nice rise to me but I can see that those paying 1714 today and expecting an instant profit within 24 hours may be disappointed. On the other hand, they may think it has further to go in the medium term. We shall see.

Regards, Ian
