drw1-sorry but can only find six pages on the website.
Maybe you can provide the link to the right section? I like the sound of it but begs the question why not put it in the shortened form?

edit-found it,very colourful!

On the GM drive train project, I was told that the enthusiast in GM who had been driving this moved (or was moved) on some time ago.

Piggy-worth downloading the full interims from the TRt Website.
A little more detail on page 14.
Including:-
'Additional Epas project progressing rapidly with aggressive time table for start of production.'
'3 major US OEM's'

Why don't they award themselves options where they are obliged to exercise against a falling strike price?

220,000 @ 75p if the share price drops through 70p
250,000 @ £1.00 ------- ditto -------- 50p

Sounds reasonable to me. :-)

"continue to develop" though, implies there is a working relationship.
No mention of M€, bien sûr.

Yes,all I can see is "We continue to develop potential applications in other sectors, most notably automotive, although commercialistion in these areas is not considered to be imminent."
So,something that was considered to be our big break two or three years ago is consigned to a footnote, one line,in the interims.
Let`s hope Translogik doesn`t have the same fate!

Out of interest, whatever happened to our link with GM and the inclusion of our sensors in the drivetrain? All gone quiet on that front.

amt... I don't disagree but options need to have a sense of realism about them to remain an incentive. Melvyn and Graham are deeply underwater just like the rest of us except their ability to trade is limited. Yes they earn, but who wouldn't?
It's just the way it is, but I don't think the TRT BoD are working it like some AIM BoDs do.

Does anyone know what the market cap was way back around the start of the millennium when TRT was trading c.£20-something per share?

Sojourno. The options that have been waived are clearly unachievable. Its difficult to compare because of the ridiculous reset of share price But the target was about £7 on the options waived. It seems to me the way options work in general is when a company fails to reach targets they just reset the target. So its a nonsense really. Much better to remunerate Directors in say 20% in shares that cannot be sold for a couple of years. Much fairer allround.
The Directors suffer like the rest of us when share price goes down but maintain the incentive to get the share price up. With share options they dont suffer financial loss like shareholders only lost opportunity which is not the same. I am not directing this purely at TRT but numerous companies across AIM. AIM needs reform to improve its really bad performance.

There is a new interview with Graham Storey (CEO) on Directorstalk, well worth a listen:

Uggy, amt... they raised the price of options in a rising price rather than reset them after it tanked. Options are only an option to buy, they still invest but only get to at a bargain if the Co meets that price/performance target. Options also help to widen the window to buy between closed periods.

I agree they should take part of remuneration in shares. Options like the way they have been used here just get reset when share price tanks like here. Anyway as someone said if they get to 1.50 my losses will have been reduced at at 2.50 I will be in profit like the Directors so can comfort myself with that thought.

Options are wrong. Far better for well paid Directors to invest directly in the Co. that way it fuses them with ordinary shareholders. Why allow them to reap the benefits of any success without the pain of having a stake in the Co. ?

Lower options were waived and new put in place at a higher exercise price, that after good news; so it's a little harsh to whinge about "new options".
These guys are on OUR side remember.

Do they need MORE incentive to make the company work ? Options to be exercised at £1.50 & £2.00 in FIVE & TEN years time do not look very ambitious . Still I suppose at least it is looking like they are not ready to go bust just yet.

Maybe, but will anyone care if the share price reaches £1.50 or £2 ?
Let`s get there first.
