16/8/2016 10:47 | can sell 650k @ 1.79 with barcs, but need a lot more than that to b/even. Can anyone explain this: the board has taken advice on steps which may be taken to eliminate the accumulated deficit on reserves through a capital restructuring exercise and intends to bring proposals forward at the Annual General Meeting later this year. | joeblogg2

10/8/2016 20:59 | dt... The obvious solution is to pair up with a GPS Co like Garmin (local here). Cyclists use a lot of GPS and even exchange route data, they love metrics so extending it to torque and tyre pressure performance data is pretty bloody obvious to me! The power requirements for 433Mhz short range are so low I doubt a dynamo would be needed for a day of fun, tea and cake followed by a few jars pouring over torque output and who faded on the hills.... | sojourno
08/8/2016 12:59 | Of the conglomerates I found in my Wiki search the Siemens range of products seems the tastiest. They are big in machine monitoring and I saw on the web from a couple of years back a presentation. The installed base must be pretty darn large given they have been big boys for a very long time. I make the assumption that there are retro-fit possibilities as at the end of day it is a Schott encased sensor attached to a rotating shaft with a remote power and reading source. If it works in a car the odds of a factory setting would seem less of a challenge. Attaching the sensor directly to a shaft may be more difficult than I think in situ but I am sure the good German company Schott is interested in this aspect as much as anyone as the potential is vast. Out of curiosity does anyone have a clue on whether a battery powered transceiver would last taking readings a ta reduced rate? I was thinking of the bicycle application. On reflection though a small dynamo might be sufficient, | dieseltaylor
05/8/2016 22:31 | Announcements are helpful when it comes to raising funds, but I don't mean a preceding flurry of gifthorses but a company with a good track record of honest sustained news flow can keep interest high and dilution low. I'm not convinced TRT can ride that wagon after JP and Co screwed the pooch. We'll just have to wait for GM and GE... and Siemens? And I have to be honest, I still think that despite the 8x dilution there's still plenty of upside. We're at 12p in old money FFS. | sojourno
05/8/2016 09:48 | I`m sure you are both right! :-)) | piggyinthemiddle
05/8/2016 09:25 | piggy - The nature of any announcements is significance. An initial order is significant enough for an announcement, succeeding orders would not be announced. You may appreciate that if every company announced every sale that the stockmarket reporting systems would collapse. I am sure somewhere there is official guidance on reporting which will help. There is incidentally a cost to getting official announcements approved by your professional advisors so it is not actually that helpful for the company coffers even if it made shareholders more content. | dieseltaylor
05/8/2016 08:42 | Yet piggy they say in the recent trading statement there has been a pick up in probe sales in the last half year-maybe someone might buy enough to warrant an RNS SOONER or later. | drw1
05/8/2016 08:01 | Yes,they liked it so much they bought 85 eight months ago. I`ve given up on Translogik for the moment but the GE news bodes well. If we could just get GE or GM to announce formal adoption of our technology,we`ll be up and away! | piggyinthemiddle
04/8/2016 18:57 | I see Continental are currently having a push on truck tyres and tpms and it reminded to check for this: Always encouraging knowing the big boys like our kit. | dieseltaylor
01/8/2016 10:52 | I included GE and GM to give a sense of scale and then you can work your way through and see who looks most likely to fit the profile. My position on GM is I think they are awaiting Ford and possibly Chrysler to come on-board. This bear in mind because Ford and GM co-operate in gearbox design and assembly. All information taken from Wikipedia. I think GE have divested some stuff since their entry was up-dated. 01/8/2016 09:26 | Completely OFF-TOPIC, but I make no apologies for that .... This topic concerns us all and the following video needs to be watched by every single person in the UK:- After watching this, I defy anyone to put forward any serious arguments as to why leaving the EU is such a bad idea! .... On the contrary, we are all likely to look back on this period of history and conclude that it was the best move we ever made!! | dncleaver
29/7/2016 19:43 | Any extension of RFID I think is beneficial for TRT. MESNAC make the RFID tags we sell. The big benefir though is it helps sell the MK2 reader. | dieseltaylor

25/7/2016 15:34 | That article is very relevant to Seeing Machines as it's their technology that it refers to in the Cadilac, that is the driver monitoring system. I have been buying since I think the potential for driver monitoring is enormous and theirs seems to be the leading system in that area. Monitoring eyes so they can see what the driver is looking at and how alert he is, marvellous technology. | amt

20/7/2016 11:01 | By the same token Einstein the previous track record of newsflow may not be an accurate prediction for the future : ) However on an analytical basis we could probably guesstimate the number of potential partners, and the likely number currently playing with it. On the SAW front we can consider majors, and of course tadpoles. Perhaps a maximum field of 50 firms? The tyre side as with the pressure monitoring tools we know that there are x tyre majors currently using it and it is likely to continue to expand because we also have to consider an eventual replacement market. I am conscious that potentially there are other sensor systems but we need to bear in mind that Mark 1 eyeball is needed for looking for cuts and bulges in the tyre wall so even the automating of temperature sensing into tyres is never going to remove a need for this aspect of tyre control. There is also the possibility of selling directly to fleets through Spinnaker etc. As to the dump truck market it seems that the buying decisions are made at the individual mines. In the background the mine managers will already be aware of which makes have been approved for use. Anyway the market size for open cast mine complexes must be a couple of hundred plus. So the result of this faffing around is to see news sources as around 250 news potentials of which most would seem to love being discreet!! : ) The good news though is that the people we deal with and the size of the orders are significant, and perhaps most importantly will not be one-off orders. Sorry to be humouring myself but it does help me frame how often one might expect news and it seems we rate at a level equivalent to a shipyard! So I am not going to fret over the frequency. Odds say the next announcement will be a Translogik. | dieseltaylor
