06/4/2016 09:01 | It might help the price if it was converted into shares. It would also help if nominee holdings were ring fenced from being loaned out to cover shorts. Ask your broker. Nearly all online accounts are loaned out to cover positions against yours funded with your own money. They make on it because most PIs loose money in the long run. See their T&C's. | sojourno

31/3/2016 15:14 | Energy Projects Could Deliver Jolt Of Momentum To Struggling Sector China’s Big Wind Power Boost; General Electric, Siemens Breeze By and The Industrial Internet Of Things Will Predict And Eliminate Points Of Failure "According to a GE Digital document, investment in the Industrial Internet of Things will exceed $60 trillion by 2030 with 50 billion assets (machine parts, sensors, monitors, appliances etc.) attached to industrial machines connected to the Internet within four years." | sojourno
23/3/2016 10:41 | Yep. That was because the old guard -including H and L- sat on their haunches and waited for take-up whilst the rest of the industry (somewhat uncompetitive tech) lobbied for a standard that suited them at the expense of accuracy, reliability and safety. The EU even went so far as to criticise the NHTSA in an open letter, but then went right ahead and did exactly the same thing. Hypocrisy on two fronts because they also made the legislation (after this consultation period) pretty much tech specific because the standard was so low that everything else got excluded on grounds of cost and ease of integration with a system that doesn't have to work for the vast majority of journeys! (EU legislative policy is to not be tech specific and that was emphasised in the process.) Muppets. I'm pro Europe but that time they screwed the pooch. | sojourno
22/3/2016 22:05 | TRT had a better solution for car tpms ten years ago but it got us nowhere. We need a bit of luck somewhere along the line! | piggyinthemiddle
22/3/2016 17:32 | I meant TRT BoD, but purchasing managers of sensor solutions don't always look for the most accurate (most accurate includes most connected and reliable) but the most appropriate given their own knowledge of what's available and their sphere of influence (it seems). | sojourno
22/3/2016 15:58 | If they are indeed "fairly savvy", they should also realise that it ultimately makes sense for them to go with the most scientifically accurate and precise sensors available. To be honest, I have not looked at what this company has to offer, but I'm sure others will do so. If it subsequently transpires that TRT have a better solution available, then I'm also sure it's only a matter of time before that becomes accepted as a competitive industry standard. Conversely, if the performance of the TRT offering is only shown to be on a par with all the rest, then, quite rightly, nobody should be the least bit interested. | dncleaver
22/3/2016 10:14 | Ah. I think they're fairly savvy, but I imagine the tech already used will be hard to displace so it might be prudent to make a profit first! | sojourno
21/3/2016 22:26 | Nigel Rogers used to work at 600 Group. CriSeren was, and remains, a shareholder in 600. There might be a connection there. And I note CriSeren is also a shareholder in Pressure Technologies plc. Hence my question about pipelines ... | spherical globe
21/3/2016 22:19 | Not sure if our sensors would work there ... But I wonder if they could work to monitor pressure/temparature in gas and oil pipelines? Places that are otherwise hard to reach under normal circumstances. | spherical globe
21/3/2016 22:04 | More sort of information super-pipeline... | sojourno
21/3/2016 20:00 | Hi Sojourno - are you thinking of oil and gas pipelines? | spherical globe |
