endless rounds of equity dilution still to come for this one .... lets not forget that business is so good (?!), they feel the need for a non-exec Deputy Chairman! WTF do they all do sat round the table other than count the biscuits, pray for a miracle & plot the next BS story to support an other fundraising?
It would be more challenging to Direct traffic than Direct this company's business affairs.

Now lets look at it rather more holistically & see the true scale of destruction of investor gullibility & wealth over the last 15 years. Yes, 15 years of never ending promises that the big one is just over the horizon, culminating in the sale today of 85 units to Conti. Current mgmnt are merely dreaming of finding a profitable application for the technology. The patents will all be expired before they even come close:

Sojourno .. FinnCap are the house broker. What did you expect? They are merely pushing now ahead of next year's placing. Surely you are not buying what they are peddling just now?

Good to see but 3.5p isn`t going to make any of us rich!Unfortunately, still can`t see any major upside to this in the foreseeable future.

Should keep them in biscuits for a month but, little else. It's just a one off purchase .. Likely at a big discount to enable Transense to briefly back in the PR but, of negligible consequence financially. The board will soon have spent that before the cash hits the bank account

"ContiTrade is the umbrella organisation for retail activities of the Tire Division of Continental AG. With over 2,000 locations and over 6,000 employees in fourteen countries it sold over 5 million tires in 2014."

Thanks dt - think we were both typing at the same time.Perhaps news flow will start to build in that direction. The cash certainly buys them some time and things can happen quickly once the ball is rolling.

Excellent point sojourno. So it is a way in to cross selling consumables. From that PoV, excellent news and conti is a big player. Most bullish thing for me - having quietly followed this board for a while - is that after years of excitement, the board went dead for the best part of a week.I don't mean that as a criticism - but it may signal that investors have finally capitulated.

Lets say at some future date that there are 10,000 deployed in the EU and that what with being crushed under trucks, lost, damaged on average you replace 3000 a year that would be a handy £3m.

Now if you are being adopted by multi-nationals then you may well be selling more and more and the installed number will grow as will the replacement number.

As to the consumables that is tricky to judge. The independent market, as in fleet managers, actually truck firms, and tyre-fitters, may also decide to adopt our device. They may also at that stage want to RFID tag if not all of their truck tyres come with them as standard.

There is every reason to believe that the transport industry is catching up with the technology available. Adoption though is slow but as the majors are now RFID'ing truck tyres the case gets stronger to reallt manage tyres.

Should say, I'm happy to be proven to be a naive mug about this.

Have to say I'm not clear on how they intend to make money from this.Even if they sell a thousand units at a grand a piece that's a one off £1m revenue gain. Not much for equipping one of the big four. Are there any consumables involved? Without consumables I don't get the commercial sense of it or why so much has been invested here.

Mega-companies do not trivially standardise on equipment. The training of staff and the necessary systems in place make it hugely probable that the deployment is company wide.

Continental kindly provide us with a list of positions that they think need reliable kit. You multiply out and I think it is actually a signifcant number. I haven't the energy to see how many depots, mobille fitters etc that they have but I am guessing north of 200 [with 200 as a minimum] and a 1000 could be possible but no doing the calculations means that is a pure punt.

Frankly,I`m surprised at the rise of the share price on the sale of 85 probes anyway.
We`ve been there before, waiting for "significant further orders" which never materialised.Maybe different this time, let`s hope so!

That order is not enough to do much more than put a floor under the price for a while, but at least it should do that. Follow-up orders will be the key.

Ken,

I think most people are sitting on the sidelines for the time being waiting for the next trading update.

It's the 'significant further orders anticipated' bit that caught my eye.
Bit of a muted response on the share price Not much buying so far.

Looks like Santa has come early to TRT !
Sounds very good news which hopefully will be reflected in the start of a rally in the share price today. Perhaps 2016 will be the year it all comes good ?
