Gold has for the 5th time tested $1800 and bounced. Looks to me as if it's in the process of forming a solid new floor.

You spoke too soon Corrientes. Production figures due any day now and im hoping they will surprise on the upside. Whether people will take notice i'm not sure. I still think we have a persistent seller here and the POG has dropped below 1800 today ( hopefully only briefly ) and that is not helping sentiment either.

From a technical perspective, this has now broken out although I imagine the 100p level will be a psychologically important level to clear.

Its the continuity of higher production ounces that the Market is looking for. This is good IMO, but not earth shattering.

Drilling will continue at the Asacha Gold Mine with two rigs until the end of the year. Aditionally, there is a series of other high potential targets on the licence area that will be explored by trenching during the next few months in advance of drilling in the winter.

I think that some are waiting for results next week. Hopefully they will surprise to the upside and then we might see a re-rate here. Still it has been a good week. As Brasso reminded me we have had a dividend this week too :)
