"(think FLYB for those who want nightmares)."
LOL! Lucky me sold those when they were still c. 40p

Maybe Micro are waiting for the fire sale to come if the AA don't firm up with their order?

Not sure I agree with the Microlise point. They invested £2.2m - for cheap units!? I would say the fact that Microlise even went near Trakm8 after JW arrogantly stopped working with them suggests there is a symbiotic relationship and so watching Trakm8 go down the pan would not be wise. Perhaps a cheap take over is in the offing (think FLYB for those who want nightmares).

All fair points......

As the most optimistic person left (10% optimism) I reckon the update will be sugar coated with some contract win (but vague) and before it is released the BOD will pat themselves on the back and say we will get away with it. However, on release, the market will see straight through their shallow attempt. In other words, the same as any other release.

The optimistic side of me wants the uncertainty removed (all sounding like Brexit) with some clarification of why they got it so wrong and why they will recover from it. Wishful thinking.

I think Microlise are not stupid.

Trakm8 used to supply kit to them.

If I were Microlise I would have said. Here is £2.5m. Give me Microlise units at a fire sale price and I also want 20% of the business.

That way if Trakm8 go pop in 6 months. They still win. And Trak gets a tiny amount of free cash to continue....

Blonde, I think you are being too pessimistic. It was not long ago that Microlise took 20% of the company - one assumes they took a look at the books and future prospects.

I also think revenue down 50% would have triggered a mass wave of redundancies which would have confirmed the end of the growth story but we have heard nothing. In my opinion, they cannot survive with such a collapse in revenue (I am no expert).

I would be interested to hear where you think the reduction in revenue would come from. If it is fleet then this is a concern as I think fleet is the only thing worth being in.

Do not get me wrong - Trakm8 has been lesson in not being taken in by the words of delusional directors.

Does look they are going to come out with another profits warning. AA seem to flip flapping about how they will launch car genie. Obviously not helping us. Not seen any visible signs of Microlise tie up yet. Had hoped contract wins might have started flowing through to us.

I would have thought this year is a total sheet show but we all know that and it is priced in.

I don’t believe the BoD is intelligent enough to say it would be down 50% and it only be 35%. More likely it will be done way more than they expected.

The reason I am holding on is the potential “rebirth”;. Hopefully post 31/3 they will be starting from a new low base and be able to rebuild. Some great news on AA / EE / Intel / other contracts, will just slowly pump them up....

Can’t imagine we will get much beyond 50p this year best case, and if we do hit thst, I will be outta here....

I agree with Blondemon. In part.

This year (and this BOD) are a disaster and can’t be taken seriously.

However, re the bed and ISA ..if they’re about to release a TU, shouldn’t they as directors be in a closed period?

Blonde - if your pessimism is as off as your (and my) optimism then I would settle for you dire prediction ;-)

At least Tim Cowley has put his shares into a tax shelter meaning that he is looking for a profit from this point (as he cannot include these shares as a capital loss anymore).

Yes Tony. Totally agree. I don't know why people are selling shares at this level. It's unfortunate that the value has come down over the past few weeks but it will go up again.
Maybe Brexit? Or maybe people see the share price going back down and panic sell and it has a domino effect and it falls further.
Once we get the sales/financial results in April we will have a better idea of the company's recovery.

According to forum poster Designer G13, Hargreaves Landsdown, the well respected investment company, has a substantial share holding (5 million) ... and realizes the company's future potential.

Hargreaves Lansdown is the nominee on record for all their private investor customers stupid enough to hold shares in Trackmate, presumably including Designer G13.

Where do they get them from?

I assume these large volumes are some form of bed and breakfast for the end of the tax year.

Update: RNS confirms it was Tim Cowley....
