21/12/2018 15:44 | Components are around 25% more expensive now than just 6 months ago, typically bought in USD, and that 25% could get worse as the pound fluctuates. | keepquiet
21/12/2018 13:53 | post 3412 a sales boss joining TRAK includes mention of route optimisation software in TRACK's products does anyone know how TRACK's product compares with that of Microlise ? doing slightly different jobs...or the same ? if doing the same job is 1 better than the other ? Might Microlise use TRACK's product with its existing user base ? | smithie6
21/12/2018 13:49 | materials/parts most are super cheap...surface mount resistors, capacitors.. ..the brain IC is I assume the more expensive item & if any sizeable re-writable memory....and any unit case/box...and they can be ordered/scheduled to arrive when needed imo & any customer of TRAK wanting volume can phps be required to make a partial advance payment that covers materials.. ---- if there is volume then TRAK shareholders will be happy & any funding for materials will happen | smithie6
20/12/2018 13:27 | A tracking company wouldn't generally have an order book with a manufacturer going further than 6 months, hard to predict further than that, i guess their would be a transition period thereafter but as Trak had already manufactured that period would be shortened as they probably still have all build documents and processes in place ready to switch on, so my guess is worst case scenario is a 6 month switch but i would guess 1st April you would start seeing orders from Micro to Trak - this said Trak may have to buy/reserve materials now to build for then - so may have to spend in short term pre FY19/20.....all just an opinion though | keepquiet
20/12/2018 08:08 | Are some of you ignoring the existing contract microlise will have in place, they will not just be allowed to walk away. Perhaps Trak can offer some info on this. | slartybartfaster
19/12/2018 10:12 | Smithie - Thanks for that good reminder. f | fillipe
18/12/2018 22:46 | ...TRAK is doing ok for me so far....got some of mine below 17p. :-) overall I'm in profit, apologies to any long term holders sitting on losses what happens in the future we'll have to wait to see (in a few days there should be the RNS that the cash raise has been approved by the shareholder meeting & actually taken place & cash received, which Im hoping will be favourably received by the mkt). | smithie6
18/12/2018 15:42 | never SMOKED IN MY LIFE BAD FOR YOU JUST LIKE TRAKM8 ARE | af100
18/12/2018 14:05 | Yes, I also noticed the buying. f | fillipe
18/12/2018 13:59 | 25000 shares bt by someone at 22.88p & other buys of 25k in recent days | smithie6
18/12/2018 13:01 | ...shame you were smoking behind the bicycle sheds during "all" your spelling classes !!...dios mio.. (there, their, were, where...) | smithie6
18/12/2018 10:18 | Microlise used to have there hardware manufactured there when it was BoxTelematic for JCB which was a good contract, Trak took it over and closed this contract and all other sub contract manufacturing, bet they are wishing they never turned all that away just to manufacturing there own system. were is the business sense in that having a down turn in profit. They have got more staff than need there wage bill must be BIG, and they can not pay suppliers on time they are struggling big time | af100
17/12/2018 11:10 | ah ha..good info. thanks for sharing it | smithie6
16/12/2018 15:44 | Microlise do not have their own optimisation or camera offering. They use 3rd party suppliers. This will hopefully allow TRAK to gain traction across Microlise customer base. In due course TRAK products could hopefully become integrated into Microslise own offering. | horndean eagle
14/12/2018 13:41 | You could be right regarding buying themselves a hardware manufacturer. I thought the same myself. Who knows what's in their head. Their long term ambition might be to buy out Trakm8 completely. I doubt there will be much of a premium, if any. I suspect the BOD at Trakm8 know a hell of a lot more than they are letting on. | dave2608
14/12/2018 13:31 | To be honest i believe in Santa more than the current BOD's. The only thing i can come up with in my(Tiny) head is that Microlise is on a trajectory to buy itself a hardware manufacturer - if we get some life in the Shareprice while that happens then fine. | keepquiet
14/12/2018 13:04 | My thoughts entirely keepquiet, although I made no comment at the time (what's the point, you're only greeted with disdain). Looks like you're now starting to question rhetoric put out by the company and boy has there been loads to question. | dave2608
14/12/2018 08:27 | So i am a little confused that i hope you guys will help me with. I read that the partnership with Microlise will open lots of doors but why? if an opportunity arises through Microlise they wont farm it out to Trak will they, i dont see the logic as if they keep the opportunity internally then they get 100% of the revenue, if they farm out to Trak then they dont, I dont believe Microlise manufactures kit(May be wrong) so i only see the relationship being Trak being a supplier of hardware to Micro, Micro do lots of data crunching and route optimisation too, so why take this products from Trak...clearly an opportunity for the RH600 as micro dont have this. but apart from the above i cant see how this relationship will create more "Trak" sales, maybe more Trak hardware sold to Micro, maybe consolidation of knowledge and R&D but i cant see that yet. | keepquiet
13/12/2018 16:07 | ...Microlise gives much better opportunities for Trak for India (is it 1000 million people & 'lots' of vehicles !; UK population is only 6-7% of that !) ) than Track had before...(via the Microlise turnover, sales presence, local sales/marketing knowledge, tech support ? & contacts there.. & the Microlise MD looks to have Indian blood !) | smithie6
13/12/2018 14:08 | Perhaps the Asian connection via Microlise will provide track with some sort of spinrgboard into the the markets where Telematics are compulsory (although I suspect they're already crowded). | knowbodyyouno
13/12/2018 14:07 | are telematics mandatory for trucks in India ? (where TRACK's new investor/partner is active) for taxis ? (smaller vehicles and one assumes more suitable for Track's products) | smithie6 |
