09/6/2021 12:59 | Thank you for the info, I shall just have to wait and see. | srpactive
09/6/2021 10:21 | I think some of you are going to be very badly disappointed. The intercity franchise, LNER, which is wholly government ran, and has been for some years, has a very successful in-house booking engine, fulfilling millions of transactions each year (in normal times), and even has a rewards scheme attached. The government do not need to design a new system at all, they can simply just rebrand the one they already have. There's also some very bizarre misunderstandings around what Trainline actually provide. It is simply an interface to a centralised industry system (which is supported, updated and maintained by Worldline, and has been since the 1990s - on behalf of the industry and central government). Trainline, like any ticket seller, just plugs in to that system, and gains a commission on ticket sales (circa 5%, far less for season tickets). Trainline are not a rail booking supplier, they are (or were) a very good advertising company, that mislead people into thinking that they were the main place to buy tickets, despite in almost all cases, being more expensive, when their fees (which train operators are not allowed to charge) were added on. The tickets, pricing etc, all comes from the same industry system, Trainline don't have any "special access" to fares or availability. Even before this announcement, they have been rapidly losing ground in their white-label booking engines to SilverRail and other providers. | adminck
08/6/2021 12:34 | ox Yes and by then we will be 400p, 275p trade just gone through hopefully a sign. dyor active | srpactive
08/6/2021 12:22 | Big gains though from this level if worst is avoided. | its the oxman
08/6/2021 12:22 | Hope your right. Just thinking market might not be too kind until it gets a real feel for how ticket sales will be affected or not. | its the oxman
08/6/2021 12:17 | I love a recovery situation, I feel this has all the hallmarks of a similar situation to rmg last year when I bought at 150p. dyor active | srpactive
08/6/2021 12:12 | May also admit mistake and cut losses if this fall goes much further. | its the oxman
08/6/2021 12:10 | Guess market wants hard evidence and doesn't believe directors when who argue their ticket sales will hold up v the new govt entity. The unknown is not helpful. That said it's largely in the price now. I hope so as just added a few 265p , but not a big bet for me. | its the oxman
07/6/2021 20:32 | same here. seems odd that despite director purchases and a positive statement from the CEO the shares have dropped back to the recent lows | dealy
07/6/2021 15:20 | Bought a few more. dyor | srpactive
07/6/2021 15:12 | rns just out via ft article, trn boss coming out fighting, says can beat the government for ticket sales. So directors buying, ceo ready for a fight and all us pi's supporting. Bring it on. dyor active | srpactive
07/6/2021 12:18 | joined the market makers and picked up a few | lawson27
06/6/2021 22:28 | It could be, if so I'm hoping it will bounce back to 300 | ceteri
06/6/2021 20:28 | Excellent lets see what happens, could a double bottom be forming? dyor active | srpactive
04/6/2021 16:51 | I'm in, dabble dabble, aiming for 10% profit | ceteri
04/6/2021 12:42 | Also picked a few up, lots of bad news in the price now and every chance it can climb back over 300p. | its the oxman
03/6/2021 15:27 | Tempted now with this share , if it's down again tomorrow I think I'm gonna have a dabble | ceteri
03/6/2021 08:17 | I was wrong with the hopeful close above 300p, a move higher from here is very likely though. dyor active | srpactive
02/6/2021 11:45 | Doing as I mentioned, hopefully a close above 300p though. dyor | srpactive
02/6/2021 09:03 | Just bought the dip. dyor | srpactive
02/6/2021 07:12 | Morning all A close above 300p today would be good, this is our fifth up day so might see a little tempering, any weakness and I will be increasing. dyor active | srpactive
01/6/2021 12:57 | Yes anything possible, as I mentioned last week this reminds me of when I was buying rmg at 150p region when the doomers were dooming. I feel this will just grind higher, the big sensible investors will realise the government are not capable of running the whole ticket system. We will still be involved I feel. As I always say, dyor. active | srpactive
01/6/2021 12:37 | Can see a VC bid pounds higher | onjohn |
