27/5/2021 11:41 | Yes quite correct but the important point for me is he someone else bought them, I feel back above 400p pretty soon. Once everyone has a think, do you really feel the government could do what trn do, especially after yesterdays DC comments? dyor active | srpactive

26/5/2021 15:33 | execs buying. Company would only need to make 30m per year profit on a steady state basis to justify current share price. Given the earnings power of software and e-commerce the company should be able to make a multiple of that even if the government is involved | dealy
24/5/2021 08:19 | sounds like Amazon | dealy
24/5/2021 08:11 | Do not underestimate how quickly pure e-commerce companies can expand profits. Once the platform has been established and sufficient eyeballs have been secured they turn into money printing machines. This is why companies like Trainline get high valuations and construction companies for example have low ones.No materials to buy, limited staff, no pension legacy, hugely scalable | dealy

23/5/2021 12:46 | TRN has done well being a little parasite exploiting an imperfect model of ticket retail, helped by consumer ignorance to the fact that they could buy the same tickets directly from TOCs without an admin fee. Government proposals rightly have the market scared that ticket retail is about to change and take the margin away. If they couldn’t make a profit before the pandemic it’s hard to see how they will after. Certainly not worth £1.5bn. | squeamish1
21/5/2021 14:16 | Looks like the US boys are buying into trn, rns showing 4.98%. If I read it correctly, stand to be corrected. dyor | srpactive
21/5/2021 11:26 | Lol, I bought rmg the other year at 150p, I feel this will do a similar recovery. Plenty of doom there at the time, but sorted itself out and a decent return. dyor active | srpactive

20/5/2021 13:40 | For information only - i have no opinion - Good Luck The British government announced that a new state-owned body will be established in a bid to simplify the country’s rail network. The network will be rebranded Great British Railways and will oversee trains, tracks, timetables and stations, which will include managing rail infrastructure, setting fares and selling tickets. SFM UK Management LLP, the British unit of Soros Fund Management, has a short position against Trainline which it steadily increased over the month of March to 0.7%. A British digital travel booking company shorted by George Soros’ U.K. investment arm saw its shares plummet on Thursday as the U.K. government announced a historic overhaul of its railways. Shares of Trainline were down 21% by afternoon trade in London Cont... | tenapen
20/5/2021 13:27 | It might take years, but if the government proposals go ahead, this would kill trainline's current business model. Too many ifs and buts about future innovation for me. This is now a very risky share | jon4567
20/5/2021 13:21 | d You are welcome, good post. I am in mno very deeply, they too are involved in railway innovation. dyor active | srpactive
20/5/2021 13:12 | Thanks buddy | dealy
20/5/2021 13:11 | Great statement by the company. The stupid idiots that work at hedge funds have no experience of working in a real company. They only know excel and a bunch of theory about business. Companies adapt to changing conditions | dealy
