Thanks Euclid. The short answer is that I don't really know. It is an extra-ordinary co-incidence that in TRAF's EOY results they refer to a planning application at "Staplehurst for approx. 53 units"

Then, as you rightly say, this application for 53 units is on behalf of Taylor Wimpey?

Just a thought, though I may be just trying to reconcile this massive co-incidence in my head, TRAF are only developers. All building works, planning etc. etc. is subbed out.

I wonder if Taylor Wimpey may be subbed as the builder and to make use of their planning and PR experience?

Well done swizz. I have found an amendment submitted to planning committee on the agenda for 13/03/2013 under application number MA/12/2106.

This is described as "Land to the south of Oliver Rd.", but must be the application as it is for 53 units.

Detail ammendments are only usually submitted in this way if outline permission has been given, or, in order for approval to be recommended by the planning committee, and as a result of minor changes requested by the committee.

This looks brilliant to me and the best sign yet that this development (which is so crucial to the continued growth of TRAF) has been/will be approved.

For investors.... at the AGM, chairman stated "the land at Staplehurst has been acquired at an extremely advantageous price" - forgive the quotation marks, not word for word but accurate to that effect.

vivgav - I did not make it to the open weekend, but I will be keeping an eye on the Combe Bank Homes web site in the next couple of weeks, for further news on STC's,

I did note over the weekend that Staplehurst Village have held a three day design forum a week or so ago, for their neighbourhood plan, it would be interesting to establish if there was any details around the land at George Street, where TRAF have plans for a 53 house development............GL S
