10/5/2022 06:45 | Ha ha.Keep up buynowt. I posted on here some time ago that I'd sold all my shares in TPG at a loss. You couldn't make it up.What a twit. | secretsqu
10/5/2022 06:23 | Could it have something to do with the £2bn of contracts awarded to BAE and Rolls Royce for phase 3 of the Dreadnought class submarines, slated to go into service early 2030's?If TPG do get involved, will they RNS it or hide it under that ever-growing bushel? Lol. | secretsqu
09/5/2022 11:07 | Next week’s Indo-Pacific EXPO event promises to be one of the most dynamic in recent years. The event is being held for the first time since 2019 and provides an opportunity to engage around the Australian Government’s planned investment of A$270 billion to establish a secure, sustainable, continuous National Naval Shipbuilding Enterprise. This covers 29 major new vessels, including a fleet of nuclear-powered submarines, nine Hunter-class frigates and 12 Arafura-class offshore patrol vessels - as well as upgrades to existing platforms. Our Maritime business is exhibiting its market leading atmosphere management systems and support services in the UK Pavilion at Indo-Pac, and is looking forward to networking with some of the biggest players in the Defence market. We have over 50-years’ experience of designing, developing and manufacturing atmosphere management and life support systems for submarines and other critical applications. Our systems are in place on the world’s most technically advanced submarines allowing the vessels to stay submerged for longer and operate more stealthily than ever before. The event takes place 10-12 May 2022 in Sydney, Australia. Find out more about our presence at Indo-Pac below. | fat00mch
09/5/2022 10:01 | Looking at TP group vacancies list , a lot of going on at Maritime. | timojelly
05/5/2022 14:46 | Sadly, the regulators don't seem to care what AIM listed boards do :-( | rolling ronnie
05/5/2022 14:28 | This goes against all the rules, a minority shareholder controlling the shots only releasing bad news and withholding good news. I though Institutions like Ruffer and Herald had morals and would not be supportive of such tactics. | slicethepie
05/5/2022 09:08 | "Was there not supposed to be closer collaboration with the Science Group" Martyn Ratcliffe is Executive Chair of both SAG and TPG and Peter Bertram is a non-exec on both boards. As Science Group are running TPG on a day-to-day basis, and have been for over 6 months, I'm not sure what aspect of the old TPG you think still exists at board level. | rolling ronnie
04/5/2022 17:44 | It is disgusting behaviour by a minority shareholder who is attempting to get this business on the cheap. I remain very surprised that decent investors such as herald and Ruffer support the antics of science group. The corporate ethics of science group would be a good topic for discussion with the QCA. I do note they are not members! | slicethepie
04/5/2022 17:11 | If that’s not worthy of an rns then what is? Was there not supposed to be closer collaboration with the Science Group. They aren’t shy when it comes to promoting business progress so it’s strange to see such a difference in style | flotogo
04/5/2022 08:48 | Looking back through 2020 results: an additional £4.7m (revenue) coming from a full year's contribution by Sapienza the full-year impact of Sapienza operating expenses (c. £1.1m); A final earn-out payment of £0.9m has been made in the year relating to the acquisition of Sapienza in 2019. Lift BV was also written off, which was a subsidiary of Sapienza ….and the impairment of the Lift BV intangibles (£1.4m) following the discontinuing of business activities There was mention of a Five-year contract to supply ECLIPSE project management software to Airbus UK – which was awarded in July 2020 Imo, Sapienza isn’t a massive earner, but a steady earner (consultancy). For 2021, no £0.9m earn out payment, or impairment (Lift BV) of £1.4M weighing TPG down. The March announcement, on the back of Airbus UK contract in July 2020, looks really positive for Sapienza. Edit: TPG did announce the 2020 news - via a Non Regulatory Announcement as "EUR9m work orders secured under ESA contract" | fat00mch
04/5/2022 07:03 | Might make the share price go up though | kwizza
04/5/2022 06:41 | Yep, would of made a good RNS | timojelly
03/5/2022 20:04 | That's a big award. Pity they continue to hold their light under a bushel.Good luck all. | secretsqu
29/4/2022 18:39 | Kiwihope, I don't think I can argue with any of that. The mismanagement has been off the scale....the pursuit of the consultancy side of things carried obvious and specific risks but as you know I always had great faith in the Maritime Unit........good revenue, very good profit margin and no serious competition.....I suspect management always intended to sell as it then moved into a pure consultancy business........or they simply didn't read the standard accountancy/ business textbooks. It takes a very special talent to screw that up and there was never any hint of a problem with Maritime... certainly nothing that would scupper a deal to sell.........if management had any hint of a serious problem surely they would have taken the offer from SAG ? SAG hold 30% so technically don't control things........but in the real world ? As I have said before I have little idea as to what is actually going on here and simply not prepared to make much of an effort to find out. I agree that we are just bystanders ( even more than usual). I imagine that the market has simply abandoned TPG so going on that basis the price has probably dropped further than it should have. TPG is certainly a defence company and unfortunately this is currently a good place to be. SAG will have to wait a couple of months yet before making a move but the current jobs list looks very impressive so we may get a surptise.....hopeful Anyway I feel that more could be on offer here but not banking on it. | pavey ark
29/4/2022 09:34 | My holding here is now dead money, fortunately only a very small percentage of my total investment. I decided many months ago to get out but was waiting for a better exit price - that didn't turn out very well! Overall I'm probably back to roundabout breakeven to a small loss. Can't even be bothered to work it out. The past 2-3 years has seen value destruction on a grand scale. Nothing to do with covid, all to do with Cartmell's overly expansionist strategy. I was never happy that the company continuously failed to make a profit. If only this had been a priority and he had dialled back a bit on the sales growth. Turns out when covid did hit and there was a momentary hiccup, there was no foundation for the share price (i.e. profits - how can you have a p/e ratio with the e?) and no loyalty or faith in existing management. We are all passive bystanders now (even more than usual). Science group (or whatever their name is) control the company (even though they don't yet own it). They will bide their time and take us out when it suits them at an attractive price, for them. | kiwihope
26/4/2022 14:18 | Prescient buys of 500k and 250k on Thursday and Friday last week now appear to have some legs. Full year results soon? It was only last years creative accounting that delayed results for 2020. In previous years they've been April/May. | fat00mch
26/4/2022 13:13 | Nice bounce on small volumes. Could be significant. For me, the next share price milestone will be 3.774p which was the price paid by David Lindsay for his 2.6million shares (RNS 4924G - 26 July 2021). I can't see him leaving before recovering this. | thompsonminor
26/4/2022 12:40 | nice bounce today | charlie9038
25/4/2022 11:27 | but who owns the separate concern? | septblues
25/4/2022 09:57 | Nope, it all sits with C2 as an entirely seperate concern. | rolling ronnie
25/4/2022 07:31 | or does Carthorse or others have an interest in C2? | septblues
22/4/2022 15:55 | RR thanks for that . Had to go down "our story" to get to TPG. The thing is does TPG have any part in C2 ? ....do they still hold the potentially valuable patents ? | pavey ark |
